You have taken the first courageous step to improving yourself. I am here to support you in this process. I have 15 years of experience working with individuals, families, adolescents, and children. With a non-judgmental approach, I help clients feel safe sharing their thoughts and feelings. Relationship issues, mood disorders, parenting challenges, issues of young adulthood including separation, self-confidence and identity, and family conflict are some of the areas I have explored with my clients. Cognitive-behavioral interventions and a strength-based solution focused approach allow individuals to gain insight into patterns of thoughts and behaviors and motivate them to make changes. Becoming aware of skills you have and harnessing them to meet your goals will result in greater satisfaction. My authentic, honest style allows individuals to quickly establish rapport and trust and leaves them feeling cared for and understood. I look forward to meeting you.

I've only been speaking to Dr. Van Meter for a couple of months, but so far she's been above and beyond any other therapist experience I've had before. She makes sure to provide lots of options for communication, and she's very attentive and helpful with her suggestions, makes me feel like she's actually listening to what I'm saying before giving advice. Great experience with her so far, seems like an incredibly experienced counselor, highly recommend!

I left an unhealthy situation and managed to stay away thanks to her. She responded quickly and at even ungodly hours on the weekend when I needed help. Forever grateful and highly recommend!

It is still early on in my counseling with Dr. Van Meter but it has been nice talking to her. I feel like I have a friend helping me work through things. It’s just nice to have someone there to listen when I’m having a stressful day. It is also really nice to have someone support me and basically say “your thoughts are reasonable” or “I understand why that would stress you out”.
