I'm so glad I was matched with Erika, I couldn't ask for anything more in a counselor. From day one Erika was great listener, supportive, and kind. She was able to give me perspective on my own problems, while at the same time reflect back to me all the growth I experienced during our time together. She was always very prompt in scheduling our appointments, but also flexible if I ever needed to change anything. I would highly recommend her to my closest friends or family.

My name is Erika Sandstedt and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Colorado. I earned my degree at the University of Denver, Graduate School of Social Work, in 1996. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about working with individuals of all ages suffering with emotional, physical, spiritual, and practical life challenges. My counseling style is warm and interactive. I find that laughter can be the best medicine. I use a relationship based approach to therapy and believe in empowering my clients to recognize the strengths in themselves to deal with these challenges. I work collaboratively with my clients to identify their treatment goals and regard the importance of establishing a trusting therapeutic relationship to affect change.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
