I have been in the helping profession for nearly 30 years, and have been a licensed counselor for 20. Now, more than ever, I see how the external factors of our world, a divided society, and a pandemic are weighing on people in unprecedented ways, creating real struggles in otherwise very well-functioning adults, due to job loss, anxiety about the future, relationship stressors, and mental fatigue from the constant bad news. I believe it is critical to have non-judgmental support during these times to help people cope and find the path forward in the most "well" way possible.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Overall rating:
Great to talk with & understanding.
Kent has been a great listener as well as sharing thoughts on things I can do for self care, etc.
I really enjoyed my time working with Kent. I had a very limited understanding of toxic family dynamics and gaslighting before working with Kent. Now I understand my own family dynamic, and I'm no longer ashamed to talk about it or ask for help. He's also helped me work on issues like boundary setting and communication. I still have a long ways to go, but I'm so thankful and proud of the progress I made while working with Kent.
So far I am happy with the match.
Growing up, no one ever took my feelings into consideration or listened to what I was saying, so working with Kent has been great. He gives me a chance to vent out my emotions and asks me questions that get me to think about the situation a little differently. Talking with him has helped me discover that I do have a lot of trauma that I need to work through, and I feel like I'm on the right path.
Kent has been a great asset to my life, he has a good ear and a great way of connecting the dots so I can make the changes that are necessary.
