Greetings!

My name is Kylie, and I have been a practicing counselor and counselor educator for the past 14 years. I hold a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision, a Master's degree in School and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Coaching. I have experience serving a wide variety of young clientele within alternative high schools, private elementary schools, and a program serving youth with diverse special needs. My primary clinical practice has been serving women, children, and families in crisis and recovering from trauma. This included six years in emergency non-profit shelters for clients facing intimate partner violence and comorbid substance abuse. I'm currently a professor in a Master's level counseling program where I teach and supervise counselors-in-training, write and publish research in the field, and present at local, state, and national conferences. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Board Certified-Telemental Health (BC-TMH) provider as well.

My therapeutic approach intentionally integrates various theoretical models dependent on client need. I believe deepened self-awareness is fundamental to long-term positive change. We all have blind spots, and this is often where our most painful pieces are buried. I believe I can help clients increase their holistic self-awareness by shining light onto irrational beliefs, cognitive distortions, existential anxieties, and potential insecure attachment styles. Most people in our lives respond or react to our overt behaviors. I'm interested in understanding the intent behind such behaviors, which is often out of awareness (unconscious). Many of us suffer various forms of trauma, and our brains and bodies create intricate defenses to protect ourselves from future pain. No one is broken, "crazy," or hopeless. Some simply need help understanding why they think, feel, and act the way they do in response to psychological threat. When we feel heard, seen, and validated for our circumstances, the defenses that no longer serve us start to loosen their grip on our lives.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Dr. Rogalla-Hafley’s expertise and compassion have been life-changing for me. I’ve been able to break free of old habits and scripts that had kept me stuck and feeling not in control of myself.

Reviewed March 2019

Dr. Rogalla-Hafley has so far been extremely helpful to me. Frankly, she sold me on this service and I expect to remain subscribed for quite a while so that I may continue my sessions. My only gripe is that she is quite busy, so sometimes scheduling can be tough, but it’s still much more lenient than it would be with an in-person therapist.

Dr. Rogalla-Hafley challenges me in ways that helps me grow as a person. She’s extremely empathetic and is able to make me feel heard.

Reviewed January 2019

Dr. Rogalla- Hafley has been my first experience with counseling. I had never spoken to a counselor and was not looking forward to it. So far I have been extremely happy with my experience. Dr. Rogalla- Hafley has made me feel extremely comfortable and communicating with her is easy and relaxing. I feel comfortable opening up to her and her responses always make me smile and give me a boost of confidence and happiness. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing someone to talk to.

Reviewed March 2018

I have only been working with Dr. Rogalla-Hafley for a couple weeks, and in that short time she was able to help me immensely. I would highly recommend her to any of my friends and family. She is very understanding and a great listener. Her experience in her field made me feel confident that she would be able to help me before we even spoke. Thank you so much for everything Dr. Rogalla-Hafley.
