I bring my knowledge earned through education, research, and personal experience. I specialize in Trauma and Substance Use. My goal is to help clients break through pain, gain self awareness, and a love for self that replaces a need for chemical dependance. I have over 10 years experience working with various clients who struggle with Substance use, and PTSD. My vast experience has shown an innate ability to work well with Veterans and First Responders and their families. as I have several years experience assisting type “A” personalities deal with decreasing the stigma that goes along with asking for help. Let’s see if together we can find you the path you have been seeking through therapy and self love.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

This was my first time in therapy and I was really nervous to begin. The first therapist that I got matched with was not my cup of tea and when I got Amber my whole experience changed! She made me feel so comfortable telling her everything that was bothering me and toward the end I couldn’t stop talking. She let me explain my feelings while giving me tools to process them. And I never felt judged, I felt like she really validated what I was feeling and empathized. And when it came down to deciding on the solution to my problem, she realized I was leaning more one way she changed gears and started letting me go about deciding. And then when it came to the decision I ended up choosing the opposite of what we both thought but it’s because I realized what I really wanted. And I owe that all to her! I feel such a relief that I was able to discuss what was bothering me and come to a rational conclusion that wasn’t influenced by anyone and I was able to decide for myself. It felt great, and I can’t wait to keep on going this way! Thank you Amber!
