Michael is hands down the absolute best therapist I've ever had or seen in the last 7 years I've been struggling and after I opened up and told Mike my story he nailed everything about me on the head. I cried for 2 days straight because no one had ever explained what I had endured the torment like Mike did and correlated it with who I am and why I did and do the things I do. No one, not ever has taken the time to peg me like Mike has and I'm sticking with him until either he gives up on me or vice versa, but I don't think that will happen. I can't recommend Michael as highly as I can. Out of 10 stars I'd give him an 11+.... He's that good. Sincerely, Tim O'Hara

Michael was sensitive to my needs and made time for all of my concerns. He customized his methods to my needs and opened me up to mindfulness techniques that helped me with my mood. I looked forward to speaking with Mike every week and was sad that I had to find somebody new to help me. Thanks, Mike.

More about Michael

I have been practicing as a therapist in California for 25 years, and am currently licensed as a clinical social worker. The bulk of my professional experience has been working with incarcerated men, and working with clients coping with anxiety, depression, and grief and loss. The services I provide do not include faith based practice, which means the advice I provide will never be based on any scripture, but based on sound clinical social work theory and practice. Our combined and shared life experiences, and the level of trust which you place in me as a support to you on a human level are the foundation upon which you will move in a direction of betterment of your choice. "Therapy ... Counseling," whatever you want to call it is frequently a philosophical exercise; your desire for change leading to questions leading to insights leading to positive change. As a professional, I stick to what I know. I offer my services based on our shared understanding of the difficulties you present to me. If the difficulties you face are more of a 'problem in living' as opposed to suffering diagnosed mental illness, or if the difficulties you are facing at this time are rooted in a difficulty coping with, or adjusting to a build up of stress in what has been an otherwise normal life course, the intervention or interventions we choose, we will design to fit your needs at this time. My career experience has afforded me the opportunity to work with clients who have faced among the most difficult life circumstances. I like to think that I bring my skills to you, rather than expect a set model of interventions will best suit your needs.

Mike tailors therapy to meet my mental health needs. He is a cheerleader when progress is being made and to keep the process going. I view the world in a different way since I have met Mike and my life is better from my teachings.

Mike is one of the rare and exceptional therapists I've ever come across. I love his input and knowledge. I used to think therapy was a joke but Mike has laid some simple but heavy introspections I'd never considered. Thank You Mike, Tim

I am very grateful for the Therapy experience I had Michael Borezt (Mike). He was a perfect match for my expressed needs. His expertise and experience are in invaluable. But what I believe is just as important if not more was the commitment and care he took moving at a pace that I was ok with as we went through the Theraputic process. I've been able to become aware of root causes of stuck patterns in my life and get tools I can apply to help make my everyday life better moving forward. Thank you:)
