More about Dorian

I am a Licensed Marriage and family therapist in California. I have been working as a therapist since 2006. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, divorce, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical and emotional trauma. Prior to my work in mental health i worked as an EMT for 5 years in the emergency room and on an ambulance.

My style is eclectic, I don't think there is a one size fits all. So, I think it is important to use all the tools in your tool box. I also think it is important to meet people where they are. I've worked with lots of different populations and I understand that your life makes you unique and may come with many different challenges. I've worked with people who come from lower socioeconomic status dealing with immigration issues to people from urban and rural areas. I think it is my job to learn about you so that I can, as I said before meet you where you are to help you get to where you want to be.

I know for some cultures going to therapy can be hard. If you've read this far it seems you are ready to do the work to get to where you would like to be. I 'd love to help and be a part of your journey.

I look forward to working with you!

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
