Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Bethany is the best confidante, the easiest listener, the funniest when sarcasm is needed, and I genuinely look forward to therapy every week when not too long ago I was hesitant to start the process.

Bethany has been so great. She has helped me discover some really helpful tools that I can use in my daily life and is easy to open up to. It is clear how much expertise she has in her field, and there is never any judgement from her.

Reviewed August 2021

Bethany has been a huge help for me personally - I love that I know she's in my corner and that I can open up to her without judgement, I'm an extremely private person and I don't let many people into my life for fear of rejection, disrupting my happy world, etc. having someone validate what I'm feeling, telling me it's okay, pressing/nudging me to dig deeper as to what caused that, why I feel that - has really helped me unravel feelings. It's all baby steps, but after a few sessions - I could easily apply a lot of what we talked about into my everyday life.

Her expertise and knowledge is very helpful. I feel that she does care, and gives me helpful suggestions to overcome, and cope with my situation.

Positive, eye-opening experience. Bethany has made one of the biggest impacts of my life. I have never felt confident enough to even consider reaching out for help when I needed it. I decided to try BetterHelp and found Bethany's profile. She has made the most stressful and terrifying part of my emotional and mental health issues something that I feel proud of myself for having made so much progress. I intend to come back to BetterHelp for continued help in the future and truly only intend to do so if I am able to fit back into her schedule.

Bethany is a great counselor. She’s open-minded, caring, and funny. She has been a huge help to me sorting through relationship, caregiver, and self-worth issues. She is also super responsive—I would strongly recommend Bethany’s counseling to a friend.

Bethany has been a great help and support during my mental health journey. I'm glad to have found her via BetterHelp.

Reviewed February 2021

She was the only one out of the few counselors I have tried out who was able to really hear me out and understand what was happening with me. She didn't judge me, she added humor to our conversation, she let me speak my mind right off the bat. She reached out to me on her own, without me even starting the conversation. She knows how to really uplift your spirits.

Reviewed December 2020

She lets me talk out how I'm feeling. She is open to listening and I feel comfortable talking to her even about awkward subjects.
