It’s just nice having Van to speak to about some of my issues. He seems very experienced in the area of alcohol and/or substance addiction and has offered great insights into my personal struggles with that. He is genuinely non-judgmental, listens, and sincere with his approach. I found him at a point in my life where I was doing so-so, but struggling with some family relationships and using alcohol as a coping mechanism. He has helped me with my sobriety by sharing his personal stories, and also some tools that have a track record of working for others. At the end of the day, the work needed to change your life resides outside of theropy, but it is helpful to have Van on your side cheering you on.

Dr. Van Zeumeren has a warm and friendly vibe, it was easy to open up and share with him. He brings experience in several areas, so he always had a good idea of what to suggest or work on. I enjoyed the worksheets and learning pages he provided, gave me structure to work on some of the anxiety I was feeling. I saw him for 2 months, and by the end felt much more empowered to handle my anxiety. He gave me tools and walked through how to control my thoughts to improve my feelings. I found our time very instructive and I would recommend him to others wanting a safe place to grow.

Dr Van Zeumeren responds and listens to everything I have to say. Sometimes I do want to say more but he continues to talk and I sometimes forget what it was that I wanted to say. This more has to do with the online video format if anything, though I would like more questions to gage how I'm doing in hopes that I will be able to think of more during our sessions. This is in hopes that rather then being told how to connect the dots, I'll be able to do it myself. He is a wonderful therapist though, and I trust his expertise and what it is that he is doing for me, because it helps.

Reviewed July 2020

I’ve just begun counseling but Dr. Paul is a great counselor. He has reached out sending tips and recourses, and has been very responsive and helpful with his messages. I definitely would recommend him!
