Dr. Belur has been a wonderful working partner. She's helped me navigate some complex challenges with considerate curiosity. I value the progress we've made, and I'm grateful for her flexibility that accommodates my variable schedule to always find a time to meet (or at least stay in communication between sessions). I'm thankful for her consistent support.

Dr. Belur was wonderful to work with! She was warm, compassionate, and I always felt as though she was interested in my needs. Dr. Belur was able to challenge my thinking in a non-judgemental way, which made me feel safe and comfortable being more vulnerable throughout the therapeutic process. Dr. Belur is knowledgeable and provides great reflections and insight. I would recommend her to anyone looking to learn more about themselves, make positive changes in their life, and feel supported throughout!

Seeking out therapy is an act of courage – it can be incredibly intimidating to acknowledge that you need additional support, and to then build up the strength to ask for that help! Once you start the process, however, you will find that therapy is a journey of self-discovery and self-improvement. I approach my role as a therapist with the goal of supporting you in this journey by creating a safe place for you to process your thoughts and emotions, and to help you explore and develop coping skills to change unhelpful patterns of behaviors. I have primarily worked with adults who have experienced anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and grief and loss. Additionally, I enjoy working with individuals exploring their identity from an intersectional and multicultural perspective.

My style of therapy includes integrating humanistic and cognitive behavior therapy approaches along with mindfulness practices, as mindfulness has been shown to be effective in reducing stress and depressive symptoms. I strongly believe that individuals are experts on themselves, and therefore, focus on tailoring therapy to meet your needs.

I am licensed as a clinical psychologist in California, and I look forward to being on this journey with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
