More about Rachel

  • 13 years' experience
  • Female
  • LCSW

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and have been practicing social work and counseling for the past 13 years. I have worked with clients with a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma and issues around work life balance. My style is client focused with a holistic approach as I believe that we have to address all parts of our being (socially, emotionally, physically and financially) to be the best versions of ourselves.

Through my evidenced based, compassionate yet challenging style, I am able to move individuals from a place of "just surviving to thriving." I work with individuals to help them "get out of survival mode," through decreasing feelings of stress, anxiety and strengthening the inner spirit. My treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Performance Psychology and Mindfulness based therapy. I always meet my clients where they are at and work with them towards their own definitions of success, fulfillment and emotional health.

Life is HARD. Taking that first step to ask for help or assistance shows courage, strength, and a desire to change. We all deserve to live abundant lives in all aspects of our being and I am glad that you have taken the first step in achieving that! I look forward to working with you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
