Hello!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona with 14 years of experience working as a Therapist and Supervisor for a non-profit community behavioral health agency. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, self- esteem, career challenges and addiction.

My counseling style is warm and attentive. I am very easy going and I treat everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive counseling. I do not believe in one size fits all treatment, so I will work hard to adjust treatment to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I know how scary change can be, especially without support and motivation along the way. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

I have been impressed with Amy's ability to listen, understand what I am communicating and give me real world viable solutions I can put into practice. She is really encouraging when I need positive words and answers me in a timely fashion that makes me feel this is a safe space where I am valued. I have recommended Faithful Counseling to my friends and family, largely due to Amy.

Amy has been such a huge help to me. She’s always encouraging me to utilize everything BetterHelp has to offer and truly cares for me as her patient. She understands what I wish to gain from counseling both for my depression and for help with grief over the loss of my mom. She never rushes me through anything, but is always willing to push me when I need it; yet knows when to step back and let me work through things in my own time as well. I highly recommend her as a counselor.

I’ve known Amy for a year and a half and she has helped me come so far and overcome so much. Always there for me and just a huge support system!

Reviewed June 2021

I've seen a handful of counselors in the past few years and some of them do their job quite well and some not so well, but Amy is probably the best. What sets her apart is that she is completely non-judgmental, listens very carefully and always has some kind of informative or positive feedback. Sometimes I can tell she's taking notes during our interview, but it doesn't seem to interrupt her listening to what I'm saying. She seems very talented and perceptive. Even though I don't know Amy in person, every time I speak to her it's like talking with an old friend and that gives me great comfort. She is an exceptional listener and I think that is probably the most important part of a counselor's job. Overall my experience with Amy has been fantastic and I think it would be a great benefit if she was someone I could continue to speak with in the future when I need someone to help me through tough times.
