I would recommend Sandy to anyone. She is very cheerful, lively and has a sense of calm and happiness to her that is unlike most people I’ve met. She is earnest and asks the t important questions to get the most out of the experience. She has much experience which is evident in the way she has helped me in my therapy process of learning how to slow down and live my life like we all were created to live it with and that’s with Joy, peace, fulfillment and happiness. Thank you so much Sandy and Better Help for the efforts of developing this therapy system and for changing my life so far, sharpening my Confidence and Self awareness.

Hello,

My name is Sandy Rogers and I am a LICSW( Licensed Independent Social Worker) in West Virginia. I have been a social worker/therapist in therapeutic settings for the past 29 years .My experience includes but is not limited to Medical Social Worker in both the hospital and nursing home settings, Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital, Crisis Residential Unit, Community Mental Health Centers, and Outpatient Medication Assisted Drug Treatment Program. I have provided individual and group counseling in these settings.

I received my BSW and my MSW from West Virginia University. I also have national certifications in social work: ACSW, DCSW.

I use a variety of treatment approaches that includes but is not limited to Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Therapy. I work with each individual to determine what is the best approach for their situation. My approach is Client-Centered where each individual is the "Expert" on their lives and they will determine the direction and depth of the therapy. I will work with each individual on developing a treatment plan of their goals and objectives of therapy. I provide a safe space and a non-judgemental approach in all of our sessions.

Outside my work as therapist, I enjoy spending time with my husband and adult children, and my furbabies(1 dog and 2 cats). I am a big animal rescue advocate. My past volunteer work included being a Boy Scout Leader and a Girl Scout Leader, Most recently and before pandemic times, I am active volunteer in my local community events.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
