Jenny is incredibly thoughtful, attentive, smart, and compassionate. I have appreciated her care and support so much. Talking with her every week has helped me stay grounded and balanced during my pregnancy. I look forward to working with her during the postpartum period and beyond.

Jenny has been so kind and supportive already and I am really looking forward to continuing therapy with her. She is giving me the patience and support that I really need right now in my life. I love the flexibility of being able to communicate via messaging versus in person/video chats. It takes a big amount of stress off of me and allows me the ability to respond the next day or so rather than needing to have a response right away. I am really thankful that I was paired with Jenny and can only encourage folks to try BetterHelp for themselves.

More about Jenny

  • 9 years' experience

  • LMFT

Hi there! My name is Jenny and I have been a licensed marriage and family therapist in Washington State for 9 years. I received my degree at Seattle Pacific University in 2012. I am also certified in Medical Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University. I have worked with clients of all ages around a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family of origin issues, career/school concerns, parenting, self-esteem, grief and loss, chronic health issues, transitional periods, trauma, PTSD, autism, ADHD and pregnancy and postpartum.

I am a systemic therapist which means I like to explore all of the systems a person is involved with. This helps create the most dynamic picture of what is fulfilling a person as well as what could be creating stress or dysfunction. My goal is to assist clients in identifying and expressing feelings and changing unsatisfying roles, patterns and attitudes. I also work from a solution focused view which means I believe it is most beneficial to focus on solutions rather than problems. I place great emphasis on empowering and supporting clients in their journey to achieve their goals.

I will commit to being open, respectful, curious and accountable to you and what we work on in the therapy process. Therapy can be a difficult and painful process however it can also be very satisfying and rewarding. We will create goals together in which we will strive to achieve.

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
