Hello my name is Julie Mitton I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Utah. I have over 15 years of experience as a clinical social worker. I have worked in out patient settings, school setting and mental health settings. I have worked with a variety of clients, including children, couples, families, women , and teenagers. I use a variety of clinical techniques including cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing therapy and solution focused therapy to assist my clients to reach their goals. I have helped people work through grief issues.

I am a parent, and through my experience as a parent it has given insight into helping the families in my practice. I have been able to introduce new skills that empower parents to use the strengths they already have and learn new techniques and skills to enhance their abilities as parents.

I believe therapy is a team work process. We will work together to come up with effective coping skills and become confident through these new skills. Therapy can give new light and energy during a stressful time. I believe it is my job to approach each of you with a non judgmental approach and look for clinical modalities to help each you individually, I look forward to working you,

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Julie is an excellent listener and a skilled therapist who can guide you towards stating the obvious.

Reviewed November 2023

Julie has helped and taught me so much. She listens to each and every concern and always has a different perspective on things that is helpful. Rather than just talking through things (which of course is necessary and helpful), she always has suggestions for books to read, letters to write, self-help workbooks, exercises, etc. There is always more than enough to keep me focusing on my mental health throughout the week or until we talk next. I would highly recommend BetterHelp to anyone who is considering it. Whether you need a little help or a lot, there are people out there who care to listen and offer help in ways that you haven’t thought of.

I appreciate all her great encouragement! I am finally nearing my retirement this week, then my real work will begin. She has helped me face it with less anxiety. I do feel more positive and able to face the issues with my son who has special needs. Probably only 60% as anxious I will be able to help him
