I’ve been speaking with Carol since December and I can’t say enough about how much she has helped me. We had a really big break through our last session where she was helping me with coping with triggers. Things that I don’t think I know how to do all the time. I usually respond to things I don’t like with anger or tears or avoid it. She showed me how I can be present, set boundaries, and keep myself safe.

Hi, I look forward to meeting you. I truly believe all people are amazing and I’ve focused my life work towards psychology, human behavior and data analysis. I have more than 20 years of experience serving people who struggle with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, addiction, turama, anger management, ADHD, OCD, ASD, grief, hospice, and many other mental and behavioral problems.
I am not new to living and learning or growing. I am familiar with pain.....although I know I dislike pain , in fact I often declare that “I’m allergic to pain because I know I don’t like it “, however I have learned that it is through pain I’ve actually gained the most happiness and peace. I am a professional with dual licenses.....a licensed clinical social worker and a licensed behavior analyst ......who started out professionally as a computer system analyst.
Because of my own pain, experiences and education I’ve become more and more into Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) therapy a fairly recent Cognitive Behavioral Approach......it’s something I’ve found has severed me well and has been the most useful to others I’ve been blessed to engage with on our journey here.
When we are able to notice our own discomfort we are more motivated to make effective and meaningful changes in our behaviors that will lead us to a more meaningful and joyful life. Growing pains are part of the process but can lead us to growth and the ability to identify and focus on what we, our own self knows is true for us.....what we value (self as context).
My goal is to help you recognize what your pain is trying to tell you, discover what strategies can help you live through that pain....anxiety, depression....by increasing your behaviors of copping......mindfulness, focus ........ that will serve you and increase your psychological flexibility. I will often use the ACT Matrix to help “sort “ things out as a tool on our journey together. I would be delighted to take this journey with you and I look forward to meeting you and learning more about what you would like to achieve.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Carol has gone above and beyond to help me. She's there for me EVERYtime I have reached out, she's kind and compassionate and looks at things in a perspective I had never thought of. I really like her, I don't think anyone can go wrong with her. Thank you Carol
Carol Gross is very educated in her field and has a plethora of knowledge and tools that have helped me tremendously in understanding my mind and working towards psychological freedom and flexibility with my anxieties. She is very active and quick to respond to my messages, one of my favorite features about Better Help. So, I can write her a message when I'm feeling anxious or overwhelmed or just need to get some feelings out, and she always responds quickly. And she takes true care and time during our video sessions for my needs and is very supportive.
Carol has done an amazing job of being there for me through one of the most difficult phases of my life. She is willing to talk any time of the day and is invested in helping me. She has been an answer to my prayers and those of my family.
Carol is an extremely compassionate person and a great listener. She has taught me many techniques to handle difficult and stressful situations in my life. I always look forward to my sessions with her. She is definitely doing great work and is contributing in making this world a better place by helping people that need her expertise. She values humans more than money. My experience with my past therapist has not been so great, they were stingy with their words of advice and time. Carol is not in this for money, she genuinely cares and wants to help people. Carol makes me feel like I matter. She’s a wonderful human being. I would definitely recommend her 100% as she is excellent in what she does. I am very happy to have found her and i searched for a long time. Thank you Carol, god bless you.
I have tried many therapists over the years and always end up leaving their service because I never felt like I was getting the help I needed. Carol has changed all of that. She is an incredible therapists, super responsive, and I know that she actually cares about me as a person and not just another client. That means EVERYTHING. Her personality is one that really fits with mine, which helps tremendously. I can’t begin to articulate how helpful she has been in helping me understand and manage my “demons” if you will. I would and have recommended her to others. If this were Yelp, I’d give her 6 stars. ;)
Carol has a wealth of experience and gets to the heart of issues quickly. She is kind and funny and extremely supportive. I highly recommend her.
Carol is very understanding in what my goals are and her help with ideas to help me heal further from my trauma.
I love my therapist Carol Gross and stay on BetterHelp to keep her. I have reviewed her before. She is personable, understanding , professional and knows her stuff.
I’ve had 2 sessions with Carol so far but listening to her and listening to how her brain works and how she reads everything I send to her and we will either talk about it in our session or she acknowledges it makes me feel heard. She has given me tools and even homework to try to better help my relationship and just keeping my feelings at bay without having outbursts where I want to hurt myself or tear myself down. I’m very grateful for her.
This is my second time working with Carol on relationship issues. Both times she has quickly grasped the issues, and provided sound counsel that is rooted in her extensive experience, and compassion for the client situation. I find her approach to expeditious, which really suits my problem solving style, and packed with helpful tools.
Carol has gone above and beyond in making me feel good about myself, but also helped me understanding why I am having such a hard time with things. And she has helped me get through trauma and pain that has been on my shoulders that has stopped me from my life and doing what I enjoy.
I honestly can’t say enough good things about Carol. She has always been very understanding of my hectic schedule, as I am a healthcare provider and often end up needing to change appointment times last minute. She also really makes me feel heard and cared for, which, right now in my life is bigger than big. If I could give Carol rating from 0 to 10, I’d give her 15. Hands down.
Carol is kind and caring, jovial when needed and an earnest listener. I was fortunate to have come across Carol quickly here at BH. She has helped me with skills that reform my way of thinking and doing in a situation. She’s reminded me to love myself and that pain, mistakes and the lot of it are part of life but can make us better with the right tools. ACH therapy has helped me and so has Carol!
Excellent insights and manages time with me well.
Carol has been an integral part of my healing. She has been an avid listener and caring soundboard. She understands my stresses and helps me think about things in various ways and settle my stressed out thoughts. She validates my concerns and supports me. She is authentic and I felt like I got to know her, which made me willing to explain more. I appreciate her and will seek her out if I come back to BetterHelp.
Carol is passionate about what she does and it shows. She is highly experienced and has a great sense of humor. Would highly recommend.
Carol is a wonderful person. She’s funny, uplifting, helpful and listens. Advice and inspiration are plentiful and easy to understand/follow. She’s made a big difference in my life!
Not only is Carol very responsive and focused on being sure she’s available as needed, she’s also incredibly informative. Her life experience and extensive education allow her to provide useful and solution oriented strategies. I thoroughly enjoy our sessions and am grateful for the breakthroughs she’s guided me towards!
Very knowledgeable, has a good grasp of what domestic violence is. Also good suggestions for working through issues that arise. She's always available to hear what I have to say.
Carol is amazing with challenging and exploring your mind and perception, She provides a caring ear to listen and helpful suggestions and observations to get you thinking. Highly recommended.
Carol is not just an exceptional therapist, she is a friend. She has helped me through some of life's worst crap storms, and I appreciate her so much for it.
Carol has become an important resource for helping me deal with the stresses of my life. She hears me and she helps me navigate the conflicts that arise with family issues. She understands my frustrations of being in the sandwich generation … helping with my aging parents, and trying to quit helping my adult children. She gives me tools and skills to remind myself how to stay focused on taking care of myself as I take care of others. Carol is kind, funny and flexible with timing.
Carol is a wonderful, wonderful therapist. She is one of the best I have ever worked with. She absolutely cares and listens and works with you to address issues. She makes you feel so heard and understood. She is a true gift.
Carol has guided me through multiple familial issues over a course of 2 years. I am in a very strong place mentally and emotionally and feel confident using the skills she has helped me acquire.
Carol is great !
Experienced and understanding
I highly recommend Carol. She’s attentive to my needs and has been a big help.
I had used regain.us (betterhelp's sister site) for counseling about a year ago, and didn't find a counselor that I felt like I could relate to, so I was hesitant to try betterhelp again, but I have really benefited from Carol Gross's counsel and ACT approach. She's always willing to listen, and offers valuable insight, and I'm deeply thankful that we were matched. She also provides a Christian perspective, which I appreciate.
Carol gives me her honest opinions and feedback whether I want them or not. She also will ask questions that will help me see the fruitlessness of a road I may consider going down. She is 100% genuine in her feelings and her counseling. In fact, I consider her more of a friend than a counselor, but still need her terribly as my counselor. She's doing a fantastic job.
I’m the last 7 months of doing better help with Carol my life has hope and direction again. For a long time I felt Hopeless and unsure of how to take the control back in my life. I was riddled with heavy anxiety and self doubt that had me paralyzed. I needed someone who could see into the Labyrinth to talk to and validate my feelings of the disruption I was living actively. Carol has helped me identify key issues from day one offering solutions and deeper understanding into myself and feelings. I’ve grown to have a connection to her and attribute a lot of the changes in my life to her encouragement. She is my friend and has set me free to feel like I can overcome “ the bear “ at my door.
After a few more sessions
Carol has been a pleasure to work with. She is supportive, constructive and has really helped me identify what is going on in my mind. I love her enthusiasm and look forward to her stories and her expertise during our weekly session!
Carol is always there for me via weekly face time visits And daily texts. I love that I can text her anytime and she gets back to me with support and wisdom
She's great!
She is the best she’s very experienced and seems to have seen many situations. It helps with anything you’re dealing with really well and she’s very nice and willing to do whatever to help get to your session
Carol was able to focus on my needs very quickly and provided functional support that helped me see my experiences in ways I could cope. Her strategies for self-and situational analysis have been very helpful. I am finding my grounding again with each new day.
From the first time I spoke with Carol, I new she was the therapist for me. She makes you feel so welcomed and turns all the anxiety of beginning therapy into excitement just by nature of who she is. I have just begun my journey, and I couldn’t feel more lucky to have stumbled upon her. She is truly amazing, and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. I feel like I can tell her anything.
She’s the best. She makes me feel like the best.
Carol is positive and inquisitive. Even when we are not meeting, she checks in to be sure I'm all right. I've never met her, but consider her a true and loyal friend.
She is very kind and understanding which is what a therapist should be!
She knows what she's doing, I have no doubt about that. We are still building a relationship, but I'm happy with who Better Help has paired me with.
I cannot describe the feeling of relief I have experienced after receiving my very first response from Carol. Her knowledge, wisdom and experience is very rare and I feel so blessed to have her.
I like Carol very much and she has already been so helpful. I am cautious about 10 for recommending BH due to some online reviews. Not all therapists are created equal.
Carol is simply the best. We get into underlying issues, I mean really into the nitty gritty. It's great how knowledgeable she is at wiggling issues loose. She's a wise woman. I appreciate her so much for all of her help.
Carol has literally saved my life. With my mother passing away 2 years ago, I tried group counseling and different in person therapies, and it was Carol who helped stabilize me and start moving towards finding my purpose again. I look forward to talking to her every week and feel a genuine connection with her and from her. She has taken time to understand my thoughts and she explains things to me in a way that I understand. She’s pulled me out of a very deep rabbit hole and I am eternally grateful to her. She’s also extremely responsive. I have reached out during all hours of the day and she always responds. I love Carol. And feel she helps me keep my mother’s memory alive.
Carol is great. She is smart, logical, and has a great depth of knowledge that allows for her to respond quickly and effectively to any number of problems and issues I've had. She is easy to speak to and offers good techniques and strategies to help manage problems.
Carol is so helpful and responsive. I've been struggling with something for many years and she has helped me really examine it and gives me useful, real-life strategies and tools to work with. She always responds when I need to vent or have a question, which has been immensely helpful. I feel like I always have someone to talk to if I am having a hard time.
I feel as if Carol is personally invested in helping me - like she genuinely cares.
She is incredibly helpful in dealing with tough situations and stays impartial while also validating your feelings and thoughts.
Carol is so sincere in everything she writes a and says. She addresses all your concerns & gives YOU the choice on how to approach the situation. She is a professional, friend & a warrior.
Carol quickly perceived the trouble I was having and helped me greatly. I feel that I have a real ally in her. I’m thankful there’s help in her, as I was sinking.
Carol is one amazing lady! She says she's just a person. But she's one of the greatest in my book!
Carol is very understanding and is quick to understand situations and the nuances involved, even if they aren’t all explained in detail. She is nonjudgmental and flexible in ways to help cope through difficult matters. Her expertise and knowledge are extensive and she seems to really care. Carol is an excellent therapist.
Best therapist I have ever had! I really enjoy our work together
Carol is an amazing counselor. I have had therapists before but this is the first time someone has helped me change a behavior that was bothering me. I highly recommend her.
Carol goes out of her way to help me to figure out my issues that are completely customized to me. I think she understands how individualized depression and mental health issues are helps a person to grow without being limited by the stigma of the labels.
Carol has been very responsive and provided a lot of great information. The best trait that Carol has that has really helped me is that of providing positive feedback to me along every step to recovery. At times when I may have felt low, Carol would say the things that lifted me up from the mire and provided hope for my future! Thank you Carol!
Carol is great. She has given a lot of tools to better understand my situation which has allowed me to grow as a person. I really appreciate what Carol has done for me.
I really enjoy working with Carol. She is extremely easy to talk to and I find myself feeling safe and vulnerable with her. I am able to be vulnerable with her because I have faith in her ability to actually help navigate me through some of my life's storms. Carol and I share a love for data and understanding all the variables that can be contributing to a common issue. Because of this, Carol is dedicated to really reading and listening to everything I have to say even my journal entries which can be lengthy. She is dedicated to working through it all and understanding it all. I'm very happy to be working with Carol. She is wonderful.
She's happy and positive and has helped me a lot with my self-esteem. She's open and opinionated, and has awesome stories. Sometimes she talks too much/ gets on a soapbox, but she's open to getting interrupted, and wants to know if she's helping you and what she can do to help. I recommend her.
Carol has been great to work with. I am early in my journey but looking forward for what's to come!
Carol has helped me so much in recognizing my emotional reactions to situations, being mindful, and changing the way I respond. I have so enjoyed my time with her!
Carol Gross, LCSW, LBA introduced me to ACT,Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I was in a dismal place and her knowledge charged with me has facilitated my ability to see things as they are, and not be paralyzed by fear. I can’t control what others do or feel. I can however recognize my strengths and deepen my understanding so I have tools at my disposal when life’s bumps and bruises happen. Carol is a very happy and caring person. She had a deep understanding of ACT and approaches the issues of the lies the running dialogue in our heads perpetuates, and how to utilize the tools at our disposal to become unstuck, and understanding that feelings are not a necessarily true assessment of our situation.
She is a sweet and nurturing giver of wisdom. I love her input and she really looks after me. She is just what I needed!! Plus she has such amazing experience!!
Carol Gross is extremely easy to talk to. She has an uncanny way of knowing what's going through your mind even without you having to put it into so many words. I typically leave a session smiling and laughing which helps reduce anxiety over the idea of therapy. She goes above and beyond with reaching out to check in and also give supportive reading and videos about things we have talked about in our sessions. She is absolutely wonderful.
Carols Awesome!
Carol has helped me so much! I've worked with many counselors over the years and Carol and her approach has been my best experience to date!
Carol has a way of seeing things that I was unable to see, almost instantly sometimes. I really value her insight and opinion a lot because she has helped me identify my motivations and goals.
Carol is so understanding of my issues. She's so supportive and goes above and beyond for me. I would recommend her to anyone!
Carol is AMAZING. I’m so impressed with her ability to relate with me and she has a wealth of knowledge and ways to help. I look forward to my meetings with her and she is a highlight in my day. Early on I’m already seeing better results in the way I handle or cope with things thanks to her help. She truly is so knowledgeable and is also just a truly good person who I can trust and confide in.
Love her.
Carol is compassionate and caring. She has a deep understanding of human psychology and behavior. Her observations are not always spot on, but that’s more than okay because they get me thinking about how my experience is different than her perception and then we talk about that. I highly recommend her.
I really like her. She is very encouraging and helpful and gives positivity and understanding. This is what I needed.
Carol is nonjudgemental, empathetic and genuinely concerned. She has been a great support for me.
She really takes the time to listen and offer ways to help
