More about Amber

  • 12 years' experience
  • Female
  • LPC

I have been practicing therapy for approximately 10 years; the last three of which have been working with children, adolescents, and their families. I have experience working with individuals who struggle with substance abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, and general life concerns. I am trained in evidenced-based, trauma informed therapies such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or TF-CBT (I am also a certified TF-CBT provider) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing or EMDR, as well as your standard talk therapy. My goal is to provide the best therapy that will meet the needs of my clients, so sometimes I will utilize multiple methods and/or theoretical approaches to address presenting concerns. I genuinely care about my client's well-being, and am willing to tell you if I don't believe myself to be a good fit for your needs. Whether you are looking for someone to provide an outside perspective on life, seeking a specific form of therapy, or are drawn to faith-based, Biblical counseling I might just be the counselor for you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

She is great. I like how if you have a biblical view on certain things. Is that she will have to start with that in the morning before anything you do that day. Plus the listing ear and not judgemental. She try to make understanding out of the things that you can't understand.
