I've only had 2 sessions with Alexandria but I'm happy to have met her and have her as my therapist. She understands what my "issues" are and how we can approach them. I'm curious to see how it will continue but from the little time I've spent with her, I recommend her for sure!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor here in the state of Texas. I have been working part time for 4 of the last 6 years. I took the opportunity to travel for the other 2 years and spent that time in Europe and Southeast Asia working with diverse populations and experiencing living different lifestyles. I have worked with a wide range of clients including those that struggle with autism spectrum disorders, substance abuse disorders, process addictions like self-harm and eating disorders, depression, anxiety, dual-diagnosed clients, ADHD, and interpersonal issues. The majority of my experience has been with adolescents and collegiate aged individuals and/or addiction populations.
I operate from a client-centered approach. I believe that understanding how you see yourself and the world around you is the first step towards helping you address the issues you would like to work on. I utilize various other counseling techniques that may be helpful to your unique situation and tailor treatment to each individual.
I believe that asking for help is the bravest thing a person can do. If people are willing to meet halfway, then I will be here to support you in meeting your goals and becoming the person you want to be.
I look forward to walking with you in this journey.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Spent a few months on Betterhelp with Alex and I learned alot about myself that I couldn't figure out on my own without her help. Each sessions I came out of with something new and insightful. The systems on the platform that didn't really help the Therapists she managed to work through each week with grit. She was very considerate and comforting to chat with each session and that was consistent throughout my time on the platform. Hope to work with her again when possible.
She’s awesome!
Very intuitive and understanding to my needs. I always look forward to our session and find them all to be different and helpful every time. She is consistently professional with helping me and gives me tools to work through issues on my own time too.
Alex is the Best! I am so lucky to have found her when I did. She saved me and has helped me through some dark times. Each week we work on improving my understanding of the world and those around me. I like how the work is never done. I believe that self-improvement is a journey, not a destination. I am a loner with few people who I am close enough with to connect at a deeply personal level, so (for someone like me) having access to a professional who remembers everything we’ve discussed in the past and who genuinely cares for my mental health and well being is a gift and a privilege that cannot be overstated.
I've had a few therapists and Alex is the best. She's caring, intelligent, and actually recommends actions for you to take, and solutions to work towards. I prefer this style over having a therapist who only listens. Alex has been a big help.
Alex is wonderful. Definitely 100% work with her! She gives me doable goals and helps me process what steps I need to take to keep moving in the right direction, even when it’s hard.
Alexandria has really helped in a short time and she provides me with “homework” which has been activities I can practice to start helping with my situation. She is a great listener and makes this process easy for me.
Very thorough and a great memory. Couldn’t have found a better therapist anywhere else. Thank you.
alex is incredible at her job. it’s been a pleasure working with her thus far and i’m excited to continue!
Alex is a wonderful therapist. Each day we are scheduled, I want to cancel and isolate myself, but I meet her anyway because I know her help and expertise is what I need; whether I am feeling bad or think I am maintaining. I am thankful for every talk we have. Alex listens to every word, and recalls what I mentioned months ago (especially when applicable to our current conversation). Alex offers great advice too! Today, for example, I was bummed because my Sister refused to watch our Parents so I could take her kids to the movies. Then Alex reminded me how I have nursing students who had offered to help and needed the money. It NEVER occurred to me to ask them to watch my Parents in the evening. Now I’m going to the movies, WITH my selfish Sister in tow!
I've only spent a few weeks with Alex, but it's been so great! She's patient and kind while also confronting my unhelpful beliefs in a way where I feel safe and like we're on the same team. All in all, it's been a great experience. I wish I would have started sooner!
Alexandria is the best!
As someone recently diagnosed late in life as Autistic (along with all the fixings like ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, OCD, etc…) I didn’t think I’d find anyone like Alex who had experience working with all of these diagnoses. I first tried seeing someone else in person and they were awful. That first therapist did not listen to me, understand me, or even believe what I felt and was going through. It was horrible and there was no check-and-balance system in place like there is here at BetterHelp. BetterHelp consistently has me rate Alex’s performance and I have the option to easily switch therapists at anytime (but I will NEVER do that because Alex is hands down the best!). She truly listens. I know she has other patients, but she is able to recall all my information from past sessions months ago when they are relevant to our current conversation. You can tell, she definitely puts in the work for her patients. I think she must research me before each of our meetings because she manages to pick up right where we left off, so that every minute of our time together is maximized. While our interactions are not video (they strictly voice calls), I can guarantee you that Alex NEVER “phones it in”. She is present on every call, giving you her all. That means SO much to me. On the ultra-rare occasion she must reschedule, I respect that because she is human too, and if she feels like she cannot give you 100% that day, then she will let you know immediately, Her Availability cannot be beaten. Along with normal business hours, she offers time during your lunch hour AND after 5pm (when most people are off work). You cannot find that level of availability at a brick-and-mortar, She goes out of her way to make herself as available as possible - day and night - even weekends! Alex is a cut above the rest and consistently goes above and beyond, I met her at a very vulnerable time in my life. I believe I was going through my first Burnout, Mid-Life Crisis, Coronavirus Fatigue, Sick Parents, and new Autism Diagnosis - that it all sent me spiraling into a deep, dark, and dangerous depression. That first therapist made this worse, so I reached out to Alex, and thank God, she gave me the helping hand I needed to weather the storm, and the other crisis that followed. Alex is a true lifesaver and deserves top marks and recognition for her service,
Alexandria is wonderful!
Alex is super easy to talk to and very… real. Her communication and understand are so great and helpful! Very grateful
5/5 stars She really helped me work through a number of issues and helped me process how to deal with a difficult time in my life. She has availability in the evening, which is very convenient as I have a full time job during the day. She is not afraid to tell you when you are in the wrong, but she isn't going to make you feel bad about it. Working with her, I think I have made real progress and her advice and support was critical to that progress.
I’ve been seeing Alexandria throughout my pregnancy and she has helped me with so many aspects. Each session she gives me something to work on for the week and every time it has been extremely helpful. She does such a good job at giving me an unbiased perspective on things while also being compassionate. In addition to helping me work through the crazy emotions of pregnancy she has encouraged me to focus on my physical health. This was a completely unexpected result of therapy, but I now see the importance in the results I’m getting. This last week my partner pointed out the positive difference he’s seen in my mental state since I started. This chaotic time in my life has significantly improved thanks to Alexandria.
She’s been so helpful these past few weeks. I’ve been going to therapy for years and it’s rare that I just connect with a therapist instantly like I have with her. Always asking meaningful questions and willing to listen and help break down the emotions you’re feeling.
Alexandria is such a thoughtful listener. She gives me applicable advice that is easy to implement into my busy life.
Experienced professionals like Alex are hard to find. Especially those who have worked with individuals on the autism spectrum with comorbidities like Anxiety, Depression, OCD, and ADHD - all of which are common in autism. Alex isn't someone who is there for you just 1 hour out of the week. She is like a personal concierge who responds to all your messages in a timely manner with the insight and expertise we all expect from our mental health professionals (but rarely ever find). Due to my autism I am very literal and am at ease when someone takes the time to "spell it all out" for me and Alex does just that in her detailed messages (that I know must take her a while to create). For someone struggling with issues similar to mine, reading her messages is just what I need to help me refocus and know I'll be alright. Thank you Alex. I wish there were more like you out there!
Very easy to talk to, attentive, and empathetic. Has a calm style that allows you to feel safe. Strongly recommend.
So far she’s amazing!
Alex successfully taught me to understand and cope with my travel anxiety and fears. I was struggling with anxiety attacks and fear about returning to “normal” life after a lengthy pandemic lockdown period, and worried that I’d never be able to enjoy traveling again after some difficult past experiences. Her help could not have come at a better time, as the strategies she taught me helped me keep my anxiety more controlled through both a crowded, turbulent plane trip and an unexpected family medical emergency. I am confident in my ability to handle these stressful events in the future. I’ve felt misunderstood in the past by other therapists who were too eager to talk right away about medication, didn’t address how my ADHD can make some things more difficult, or didn’t fully understand adult ADHD. Alex took my other conditions like ADHD and stress migraines into account when making recommendations, which was a huge help, and I really felt listened to.
Excellent
Alexandria was a great help to me in sorting out my feelings and making better decisions! Definitely would recommend!
She’s amazing!
Amazing and very sweet and genuine person! I feel more confident and less worried and it was really nice to be able to speak with someone about my personal thoughts and life.
Alex is wonderful! I’m pretty new with her, but I can already tell she has a really strong understanding of LGBT issues and how to help LGBT patients. She’s so friendly and professional and responsive. Wonderful experience so far.
