Akilah is amazing! I am a person of faith and believe that God works through people and I believe that the work she does is beyond knowledge and training, but a God given gift. She counsels with honesty but compassion, and challenges you in ways that are best for your growth. I highly recommend. Money very well spent!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Highly recommend. She is thoughtful, organized, listens closely and works with you giving you exercises or homework to do. The best therapist I’ve had in 6 years of therapy.
Akilah is amazing! I can’t say enough great things about her. I feel like I can really speak my mind without fear or judgement and really take the guidance/homework she offers to heart. I can feel myself slowly healing and I really do owe a lot of that to Akilah. She lets me feel all my feelings and doesn’t ever make me feel invalid. Having another person, who is non bias, has been super helpful for me. I get into my own head and she helps me realize the bigger picture of it all. And on top of all that, she is very understanding and flexible if a session ever needs to change. I cannot recommend Akilah or BetterHelp more, both have helped me in so many ways.
Akilah Martínez has made me feel very comfortable in Theraphy. I have improved a lot since working with her and look forward to our weekly sessions. I would recommend her to friends and family.
Very helpful and great counselor. I love that she’s very active through text and messages. Most of us come to the app for that exact reason. And, she’s been super understanding. I highly recommend
Asks a lot of questions to get to know who you really are. Cares about ur feelings
Akilah is very professional and knowledgeable about my concerns and issues. I feel I'm able to share my concerns without judgment which makes it very easy to talk to her. I would highly recommend her to someone else in need of counseling.
