Currently living and working in my home state of Texas, I have international experience having worked in both Canada and the South Pacific. I received my Masters of Social Work from the University of Houston in 1990 and since earned the most advanced clinical social work license and was one of the first licensed Marriage and Family Therapists in Texas. Julie has been a life saver and has become a very special person in my life. I struggled alone and really needed someone and she was there. She would check in with me from time to time to see how I was doing if she didn't hear from me. Her care and concern and approach to mental health has helped me immensely. I had my doubts about betterhelp as the first counselor I was paired with didn't seem to engage with me as I was expecting, but after being switched to Julie I now see the potential of this service. This has been my first therapy experience and I am really happy that I was matched with Julie.
