Hello, my name is Deborah but most people call me Debbie. I have been a Professional Counselor for 20 years and have had the opportunity to work with many interesting people so far. One of the things that is very important to me is our professional relationship. Together we will work on building trust and respect for one another so the environment is one where you feel completely safe sharing any thoughts, feelings, or ideas that you have. I will be on this journey with you, guiding you and supporting you the whole way. The goal is for you to get to that place where you have the skills, tools and thoughts to help you get to where you want to be and make your life as fulfilling as you choose. Everyone is unique and that is part of the beauty of the process, no person is like you and every thought you have is yours and any feeling is one that you can be comfortable owning. We will work at a pace that you are comfortable with and you will be challenged and given HW if this something that helps. To avoid being overwhelmed, we will be organizing each issue and tackling each bit at a time until pieces of the puzzle begin to start fitting together.
I have experience working with family issues, depression, anxiety, panic, self-esteem, marital difficulties, loneliness, abandonment, trust, behavioral issues and more. I want you to know that what you say and feel is very important and you deserve to be heard, you matter. You also deserve to have that life you want. I can give you tools to work with and I can help you use them as needed for everyday life. I am eclectic in that I use different treatment modalities as needed. I may use Client Centered and then move to Behavioral Therapy and then on to Cognitive Restructuring as needed and it all comes down to what works best for you and where we are in the process. As we move forward, we will continue to work on the next hurdle until the road becomes more manageable. Every road has bumps along the way but it is how you learn to control the bumps that makes you in control of the ride. Life is YOUR journey and YOU will be in the driver’s seat. You can do this. I look forward to meeting you!

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Overall rating:
Deborah is the first therapist I have stayed with. She understands me and my drama. She has helped me find better ways of dealing with my bad habits. She is the best!
I like the therapist who listen, responds and directs effectively with encouragement and empathy without emotion.
Amazing! Kind! Funny! Caring! List goes on. I’m so glad she matched with what I needed. She makes therapy like talking to a friend vs a therapist. Has made therapy sessions so much easier for me
She’s awesome
Great listener and has great advice on techniques to help cope with stress, anxiety, and self doubt.
I have had many therapist in the past that have lasted maybe three sessions and then I drop them. They try to hit places that are too difficult before they know me and wanna talk about them which scares me off every time. But Deborah I’ve been going to her for over a year now and she really knows me and so if there’s a difficult subject I know she’ll be there for me and she will help me through it. I trust her and I respect her.
Deborah has provided me with helpful tools that have helped me change my mindset and I’m feeling much more positive and confident.
I love that Deborah respects my way of thinking and I can fully trust her knowing that she won't judge me on anything I say. I'm very comfortable sharing with her, something that I couldn't find in my previous therapists.
We are focusing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which is a very interesting thought process! Debbie really understands how to present CBT and has given me great tools to learn how to use it.
She utilizes her experience to be supportive and helpful. She’s helped me alleviate guilt, and she supports me to make decisions to help me feel happier.
Great job
Deborah has been the perfect fit for me. Her ability to hear and acknowledge me and to provide me with useful tools in a kind and helpful manner, has assisted me in my journey to a more peaceful life. She has helped me to see issues from others' perspectives and to be better at letting go of hurt, anger and worry. I am truly grateful for Debbie and have deep respect for the work she does for others.
This is the longest I’ve ever gone to a therapist. Normally I hang in there two or three sessions. I have been with Deborah four months which says something about her. I trust Her, and I trust her advice.
Deborah is a phenomenal therapist. She truly listens and made me feel heard and understood. She has a great sense of humor to boot, she made it not only feel like I was getting the valuable professional help I needed AND also like I was talking to a friend. She has given me so many helpful tools to use in my personal life, and benefit my emotional well-being. I cannot recommend her enough!
Deborah has been a massive help to me ever since I started therapy, and has been immensely personable and supportive in every endeavor we came across.
Debbie has been a great help, a patient listener, and a voice of reason. I am feeling better now!
For my first therapy session in over 20 years, I really appreciated Deborah asking important questions & making me feel comfortable; I look forward to my next session.
Debbie is an amazing listener, and she equips me with the tools I need to handle uncertainty and anxiety in my life. I’m grateful for her every day.
Debrah is the sweetest and most supportive. I feel extremely comfortable opening up to her and knowing she will be truthful in her feedback. She’s encouraged me to take the action steps I need to take to feel myself again. I will miss speaking with her on a weekly basis!
Deborah has been a great support for me through my phases of anxiety and complex issues in a relationship. She hears me out and I always rely on her advice.
She is amazing
I feel Deborah helps me find the root of my issues and helps guide me with the tools I need to cope with them the next time I’m in that situation. Understanding where our anger or depression originally stems from is a major factor in understanding why I feel a specific way when certain situations happen. Finding out how defuse the sitation when it happens is another huge part, but learning to love yourself enough to get the help you need is the best present you can give yourself. Thank you Deborah.
This is the longest I’ve been with a therapist which is a testament of Debbie’s bedside manner. I almost quit therapy after a horrific experience on BetterHelp, but Debbie changed my view and the experience of the role an empathic therapist can play in one’s life. I have more confidence and self love than ever before in my life. Debbie has shown me that I’m human too. She’s non judgmental, and excellent listener, open minded, and such a great support. Her loving nature has exposed me to feminine intuition, advice, and wisdom that I’ve never experienced before. What a true gift to be working with her.
I’ve never been a big fan of the idea of therapy and blurting out all your issues to a stranger. But a highly stressful resurgence of anxiety promoted me to find something, someone to help me through it. I was so lucky to be paired with Debbie when I signed up. She immediately felt like my new best friend and although still uncomfortable with talking over video, Debbie helped me through my most pressing issues. She helped me realize that for the most part, I knew how to respond to the stressors but couldn’t find the right tools. She helped me discover those tools in a few sessions, and gave me the confidence to believe in myself and my skills. She’s a gem and consider yourself lucky if you get paired with Debbie as your therapist.
Debbie makes me feel sane! It’s sad to say that that’s a great thing to get from a therapist, but she really listens and searches for reasons for feelings rather than telling me where my feelings are coming from. She helps me see all sides of things in a very non-condescending way.
Deborah is a thoughtful, caring therapist. I get something from her every session.
Deborah has been a great help in dealing with myanxiety and relationship issues.
She listens and gives great feedback.
Thank you
My sessions with Debbie have been wonderful. I feel more confident and validated. Debbie is an ally and a straight shooter. She’s a gem.
I love debbie! I would have canceled better help, but I really love her & want to keep working with her
Debbie is a very empathetic therapist, a great listener, gives active advice when I need it and genuinely cares about her clients.
Debbie is a great therapist and easy to talk to. She has wonderful tools to help with anger and childhood trauma.
I have tried therapy multiple times but it didn’t help me until I meet Deborah. Deborah is very patient, professional and a great listener. She has taught me a few exercises that have helped me through my self doubt, depression and anxiety. I would highly recommend her!
I love debbie! she’s been so helpful! she’s easy to talk to and makes me feel extremely comfortable talking about anything! THANK YOUU
It’s rare to find a therapist who is such a great listener AND very practical with tactics and strategies. In every session, Deborah held space for me and supported me with great questions, and also suggested ways to reframe my negative thoughts or make a decision. She’s an amazing therapist. Highly recommend.
I feel she really understood my concerns and worries. I do think we are on the right path and hope to learn more tools for self care.
Deborah is great to work with! Very patient, understanding and clear. Would highly recommend her.
Deborah has extremely helpful in giving me the tools needed to work through emotions. Highly recommend.
Deborah has been the support I have been longing for. This has been one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself. The video sessions, ease of scheduling and connecting are EASY....and that is huge....cause everything else in life is so damn complicated!!!
Deborah is wonderful. She's a good listener and we have deep conversations. She helps me see people from a perspective I hadn't considered. She also validates my feelings even if they're crazy because she knows I need to feel the emotion. She's taught me how to process my emotions which is opening a side of myself I never knew existed.
She is a kind and helpful therapist that definitely cares for her clients.
Deborah listens with empathy and provides relevant feedback that is delivered kindly and respectfully.
Deborah is amazing! She’s helped me work through so much, she is incredibly professional, and she’s always sympathetic. Her coping mechanisms are unmatched and I cannot recommend her enough
I feel that Deborah is a very helpful and experienced therapist. I look forward to her advise and counseling. I always feel better after seeing her! She is giving me great tools to cope with my concerns and life challenges. I like that I can video chat with her in the comfort of my own home.
Deborah is a very caring and attentive counselor. I can see exactly how she would benefit another patient with how open and welcoming she is but I don't believe she is the correct counselor for me. This could be due to my difficulty opening up to people but I feel like I will be able to easily open up to the right counselor and I will know once I talk to them.
Great listener and has a very neutral perspective on things. Makes me feel calm after our conversations.
Thank you so much for all your wisdom and guidance. Definitely helped me through some some challenges
She’s great. Very good at dissecting and making you look at things in a different perspective that was never thought of. Enjoy her messages and conversations.
Deborah is an excellent therapist! I’m blessed to have her as my therapist!
Thank you for your kinds words. You have help me to better understand my situation and how to handle my emotions.
Deborah is the best counselor I've had abd I feel we are really working through a lot of my concerns that led me to seeking counseling.
Debbie has been amazing. I'm going through a traumatizing divorce right now, and she has helped me gently get control of my emotions, so they don't overtake me. I've been able to feel and release all the emotions that have come up and have been able to keep my head up and keep moving forward toward a bright future for my daughter and me. BetterHelp could not have come at a better time for me, and Debbie has been such a gift. I'm so grateful for her.
Deborah Keklak is a great listener and gives quality, timely and practical feedback and ideas
I've only had one session so these are just preliminary thoughts. Basically, I decided to go with Better Help because none of the counselors in my area will take insurance and they have to do sessions over the internet anyway. I thought I'd try Better Help because it's a technology first platform so my thinking was that it would attract therapists who believe in internet therapy rather than practitioners who are forced into it because of the current circumstances. So far, my bet is paying off. Better Help's technology infrastructure is better than what my psychiatrist has access to and Deborah is much better and more natural online than he is. The only thing that would better help me manage my mental health is if you could file claims with my insurance or give me guidance in doing that. Seriously, navigating bureaucracies is one of the biggest challenges to my mental health.
Debbie has made such a wonderful difference in my life. She's saved me from myself. Highly recommended!
Lovely supportive person that has helped me immensely!!! She won’t disappoint you
Deborah has been absolutely incredible. She helps me identify feelings, emotions, ways to heal, improve and overcome obstacles in my life and marriage. By far the best therapist I have ever had. Thank you Deborah.
Debbie has been a wonderful therapist for me, I’m really pleased to have been matched with her. She has given me some great tools to help me manage the issues we are discussing, and I really feel heard when I share my problems. Debbie is thoughtful, kind, and skilled in her field! I look forward to continuing my sessions with her. Thank you Debbie!
A wonderful human who is able to explain modalities and explain what’s going on and help work through main issues at hands
I met with Debra to find a way to resolve a family conflict. I was new to counseling and was hesitant to reach out for help. Debra was a compassionate listener who immediately made me feel comfortable. She helped me gain insight and self-knowledge in order to incorporate new tools and behaviors that I could use in order to set boundaries and establish healthy communication with my family member. I have found a new confidence in setting boundaries in other areas of my life as well.
Deborah has been an absolute blessing in my life. She expresses genuine concern for my well-being and I know that whatever I am going through, I can be honest with her and she will support me. It has been a huge relieve no longer having to carry around the burden of the thoughts and worries that have been picking away at my mental health. I felt like I was slowly going crazy before I started sessions with Deborah. She made me feel safe and able to open up. Once these issues were in the open and we began to break them down, I stopped feeling so intimidated by them. She helped me clear me head. She helped me understand my emotions and manage them instead of being controlled by them. She gave me the support and tools to rediscover the positivity inside of me and snapped me out of the self-loathing I was feeling. She is the exact type of person a counsellor should be. I feel like she is there not just to get paid but that this is her genuine purpose in life. She really went way beyond my expecatations of what I thought counselling would be like and am forever grateful for her guidance and support.
