My counselor is a calm and present person. He listens to me even when I am ranting and gives me the space to open up on my own pace.

Hi! I am a licensed counselor based in Austin, Texas. My style is friendly, focused, and down-to-earth. I aim to be helpful with each individual I work with, and take pride in designing a therapy that will really work for you.

I’ve trained in a variety of approaches and find that virtually all approaches offer something valuable. However, I believe the classic fundamentals of therapy - empathy and a good collaborative therapeutic relationship - are the primary basis for effective therapy and therefore I put a lot of effort into these.

One of my views about life is that it is often asking for various forms of balance: Balancing kindness and strength, tenderness and toughness, openness and clarity, relaxation and alertness. And so in therapy, I always strive to create the right balance for you of supportiveness and challenge.

And, I invite and encourage your candid feedback about the process (and by candid I mean candid - really!) so I can make appropriate adjustments.

Therapy, like life, can be a wonderful adventure and I’m glad for the opportunity to support you in the journey.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
