Hi! My name is Adele Barnes and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in South Carolina. I have a Master of Arts Degree from Webster University in Counseling with a concentration in Professional Mental Health. I have 5 years of experience providing individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy sessions to children, adolescents, and adults. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to assist individuals with anxiety, self-esteem issues, depression, grief, suicidal ideation, self-harming behaviors, dealing with life changes, and more.

I believe building rapport and establishing a trusting therapeutic counseling relationship is vital. I believe in providing a safe, comfortable, and nonjudgmental environment. Sometimes on our life journey we encounter situations that may be difficult for us to handle alone and need the guidance of others. As a counselor I am here to help you handle life difficult moments and equip you with positive coping strategies to deal with these difficulties.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
