He’s a very good therapist! He’s really kind and chill, and more than happy to talk to you about anything. He’s the type of therapist that just feels like you’re talking to a friend, rather than someone in a professional setting. He can be professional if you want, or casual. Truly one of the better ones out there!

More about Nolan

  • 7 years' experience
  • Male
  • LPC

My name is Nolan Chojnacki and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oklahoma and I have been working in community mental health for 7 years. My initial experiences have been with working with couples and young adults from 18-25. The past few years I have expanded my experience to adults from 25-35, which is my current primary client demographic as well as clients aged 45-55. The areas of expertise I have addressed in therapy range from depression, anxiety, relationship issues, addiction problems, career challenges, and general stress.

My counseling style has been described as warm and empathetic and I've worked to build on those strengths over the years as working as a therapist. I strongly believe in letting my clients know that they will be listened to and not judged when working with me. I want my clients to feel comfortable and understood, because I believe that is when you are able to fully see what changes and differences you are capable of making to improve your life now and beyond our counseling sessions. My theoretical approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, client-focused, and solution-focused models. I always tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes strength to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and those strengths that you possess are what I plan on highlighting for you, while also assisting you in finding other talents and passions that make you feel complete and worthwhile in whatever you hope to achieve. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I really look forward to working with you!

Reviewed March 2024

Nolan is the most genuine therapist I have ever had. His combination of active listening skills with thought challenging questions really help me to get to the core of what’s triggering my anxieties. He makes me feel heard in a way that some of even my closest friends haven’t been able to connect with. I would recommend him to anyone wanting a therapist who prioritizes the mental health of his clients with a kind and friendly demeanor.

Reviewed January 2024

Nolan is fantastic. I was in a super tough spot and he was there to listen and understand without judgment after months of trying to find a therapist. I can't recommend him enough

Reviewed November 2023

Nolan is the easiest person to talk to about personal issues. He really is a great listener and gives some good input whenever he does.

Reviewed April 2023

He’s great, can really be a friend when you need one!

Reviewed March 2023

Nolan makes me smile. I wasn’t sure what to expect, which was refreshing. I love the fact that he is a younger therapist. This is my first time working with someone within the same age group as I am, as all my therapists have children my age or older. He brings a new perspective, a new history, to my therapy needs. It’s like working with a friend who went through getting the credentials needed just to help you work through your issues. I look forward to continuing my therapy with him. I would recommend him to anyone, honestly.

Great listener and conversationalist. Appreciate our times each week!

Reviewed August 2022

I like Nolan, the challenge is he is much younger. Tough to react to my experiences simply based on age. I think he is a great guy.

Reviewed June 2022

He is always there to listen. He makes you feel like a friend. Very compassionate and understanding.

Reviewed December 2020

A great counselor that listens to your concerns and takes notes, so as to not repeat conversations. A fun and relatable person to talk to and gives great suggestions and advice. Highly recommended for those of young adult age.

Reviewed November 2020

It took me a while to find a counselor that I meshed with. It’s still early, but already Nolan makes it very easy to talk to him. He takes initiative to begin conversations rather than just saying “Hey, I’m here if you need me!” or just providing general worksheets that don’t support your goals. Again, it’s early but I’ve enjoyed our sessions thus far!
