I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Carolina, and have been an individual and family counselor for over 10 years. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, and specialize in anxiety, relationship issues, foster care and adoptive issues, grief and loss, and parenting problems. In addition to those areas of specialty, I have helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. I also enjoy helping people work through daily stressors, reframe challenging situations, and move towards better mental health.
My counseling style is supportive and encouraging. My approach combines elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, rational-emotive counseling. strengths based, and positive focused. Elements used will depend on your specific personality and needs.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Jennifer is a well-rounded therapist. I don’t feel judged by her but supported as I navigate my personal journey toward a more balanced approach when it comes to my communication and relationships with others.

Jennifer is an amazing human being she's beyond a great therapist. I was in a really bad place at the time I found Better Help a few months ago. Jennifer helped me through the hardest moments of my life and she gave me the advice and coping strategies I needed. Thank you very much Jennifer for being there with me every step of the way and getting me to a better place emotionally and physically.

Very friendly and helpful. Very knowledgeable!
Jennifer - has been great! a very easy going light conversation starter. I have dipped my feet into discussing some concerning areas and have started on a path or a new direction on how to having hard conversations on my needs/wants. Jennifer has reached out to reconnect and discuss further..
Jennifer has been such a great help in my life! She is so genuine and truly cares. She has helped me work through some of the worst times of my life and helped me process and even start to look for the silver lining. I would highly recommend her!
Jennifer provides a great sounding board for me and is very even-keeled when discussing ways forward.
She’s so responsive. She listens and understands what I’m trying to say when I am unable to find the words
Ms. Enevoldsen is a great therapist always with a smile and an enthusiastic way to help you in your session. She is so easy to talk to and im grateful to how found her.
Great help
Jennifer is doing great with me. Im still having an issue with motivation. Ive tried to deal with this issue with a life coach in Florida for the past few months. Jennifer is coming up with organization tools to build me up because I have a low self worth. I know that the motivation and low self worth are connected. Im having mixed results so far with the organization tools, but its still early.
This process and experience has been so good for me. It’s exactly what I needed.
Jennifer is the only therapist I’ve ever stuck with. She listens intently and offers real time advice and practices. I’ve been seeing her for about 2 months and I enjoy meeting with her! As a teacher, most of my problems are centered around school. She’s helping me cope with the things I can’t change and how to identify ways I can better my relationships with the school(leaving work at work, talking positively with coworkers, behavior management with the kids). Jennifer feels like a friend that I can vent to, but then she can turn around and offer me advice that will help me achieve goals, rather than vent back. She’s not afraid to call me out on my bull crap and I so appreciate that. I love spending time with Jennifer and I’m so thankful I matched with her.
Jennifer is really great at listening and identifying needs. She has several tools available to tackle the issues. She offered a great way to reframe my thinking.
Working with Jennifer over the past few months has been great. She has helped me turn me on to new strategies for dealing with things to improve my resiliency and make me a more understanding person. I feel like I am making real progress.
Excellent therapist. Great sense of humor and highly skilled.
Jennifer e is amazing
I appreciate Jennifer’s very real, pragmatic manner in our work together. During our sessions, she has shared appropriate personal experiences, professional expertise and resources. I feel she has understood the concerns I have needed to work on and has been able to give valuable insight and perspective.
Thanks for helping me to get here
Jennifer is a gifted therapist, naturally makes you feel very at easy, is kind, thoughtful and takes the time to understand your challenges. She's helped me a lot and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.
This experience has been amazing and so helpful
Jennifer’s therapy approach is relatable and practical but delivered with compassion for your unique circumstances. This is a winning combination in today’s stressful world because we all need a therapist that understands us but at the same time has the tools and strategies to keep us moving forward. Week by week, I felt better!
Jennifer is such a good listener and really takes the time to understand your concerns and give you different perspectives to consider on the situations you’re going through. She’s great! Definitely would recommend.
Jennifer is a therapist. She is a great listener and i feel great after every session. I would recommend her 100%
Jennifer definitely creates a safe space for me to express my history of impressionable experiences and how they tie into current challenges; every session she discusses and helps articulate what my issue may be and then puts together worksheets or journaling assignments to help me disassociate from unhealthy narratives I may have internalized from certain experiences. These writing assignments have been very therapeutic and helpful in managing current relationships with family and friends. In general, therapy sessions with a professional is very liberating and drama-free. I do not have to worry about my truth or what I say, coming back to be thrown in my face or invalidated. The aforementioned has helped in making it easier to create healthy boundaries with people in my personal life and not project frustrations onto them that they do not deserve/ may not have the capacity to handle. So I would recommend betterhelp.com to anyone looking for similar counseling options and discretion.
I am confident in Jennifer's abilities. She is attentive, intuitive. She hears what I may not be saying and respectfully and gently guides me to address those things while reviewing options and tools that are easy to implement, helping me feel I do have better control of situations that I must take care of. Grateful for her care and expertise.
Jennifer is the first of many counsellors in my life to help identify why I feel I am a terrible person. She does not pander to my self deprecation. She agrees I must change and is offering concrete feedback on how I can find a way to be a better human being and live with who I have become.
This medium of virtual counseling is so valuable right now. Mental health care is so stigmatized and Better Help has created a great space to get matched with someone who can meet you (mentally) where you’re at.
She is professional, returns messages quickly, answers questions, listens and offers sound advice.
