Trisha is my first guide into the world of therapy/counseling and she welcomed me in with open arms. It took me 10 years to finally listen to my heart reach out for help with my mental wellness and personal growth. Trisha is a great listener and offers timely insightful thoughts throughout our weekly talks and during the week when our communication transitions to messaging. I feel safe and able to express myself when communicating with her.

  • LCSW

My name is Trisha Grady and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of North Carolina. I have a Masters of Social Work degree, a Bachelor of Science in Social Work degree and I am nationally certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I have worked in different settings with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families with a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, ODD, behavior problems, stress, relationships, PTSD, trauma, addictions, parenting skills, school bullying, mood disorders, gender identity issues, etc..

My counseling style is warm, interactive, and empathetic. I believe in treating all with respect and compassion. My approach is intersectional and typically draws from the principles cognitive behavioral therapy. I believe in building authentic connections and understand we are all unique individuals with varying experiences and needs. I hope to create a safe space to assist with identifying and overcoming barriers to your healing and growth. I prefer to develop goals with each individual and frequently assess progress and any needs for adjustments as things evolve throughout the therapeutic process.

Additionally, I am passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ community and hope to help individuals, couples, and families develop acceptance and confidence while navigating the effects of oppression and discrimination. I believe you can find relief from traumatic experiences and anxiety and ultimately find joy in living the life you want and remaining true to yourself.

It takes courage to seek guidance and take the first steps towards change--I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!
