More about Jane

  • 20 years' experience

  • LPC, LCMHC

Welcome for the opportunity to get to know you. Reaching out for help is a healthy approach to navigate through life. Initially licensed in VA as a professional counselor, I am currently licensed in SC as an LPC, and in NC as an LCMHC. My experiences have been broad and extensive as I have worked in private practice for the last 13 years and prior to private practice I worked home with families, couples, and individuals in my office and online . I have completed three levels of training in the Gottman Model, a researched model for marriage and couples counseling. My experience as a LPC/LCMHC, and my life experience as a wife of 40 plus years, mother of 2 and grandmother of 8 has enriched my life to work with wisdom gleaned from "real life." I would like to meet you and help you move through the journey of your life.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
