Thank you for selecting me as your clinical counselor. I look forward to our work together. This information should answer your questions about my qualifications, but feel free to ask me any questions you have, and I will gladly answer them or provide you with other supporting documents as needed. I am qualified to work with adolescents, young adults, and adults under 50.

My treatment experience is with:

*Mind, body, emotion integration

*Eating Disorders

*Anxiety disorders

*Athlete and sport psychology

*Transition issues of young adulthood

*Depression

I completed a 900-hour training internship during my graduate studies at The University of North Carolina Greensboro and continue to gain continuing education on the all the topics listed above. I have worked in various settings which have given me a wealth of knowledge and experience, including substance abuse treatment, community mental health, private practice, and a pediatric medical clinic. My counseling style emerged out of the theories of Carl Rogers, who saw the importance of accepting a client wholeheartedly and building a therapeutic relationship around which trust of the client and unconditional positive regard of the therapist brings about change. I also use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused techniques. I am very open-minded and understanding and my counseling style is casual and warm.

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
