I'm a Marriage and Family Therapist in North Carolina with over sixteen years of experience working with women, couples, and families. I've collaborated with clients facing a wide variety of challenges, such as marriage struggles, parenting concerns, depression and anxiety, career concerns, confidence and self-esteem, issues of spirituality, grief, and abuse. I'm experienced in providing online therapy, as well as working within residential treatment settings, outpatient/office spaces, faith-based environments, and within the hospital and school systems.

My therapy style is warm and experiential. I strive to provide both depth and insight, and just as important, joy and laughter into my work with clients. I believe there's beauty and meaning to be discovered in every life story--regardless of creed, color, or income bracket. My approach is one of human connection and safe/secure attachment to one another, and I rely heavily on emotionally-focused therapy techniques, especially in my work with couples. While serving individual clients, it's common that I also integrate aspects of narrative, solution-focused, and trauma-informed therapies into our work together.

On a personal note, I'd like to applaud your decision to invite someone into your story instead of attempting to journey alone. We experience no greater strength than when we join together in our most difficult times in life. I look forward to working with you, and if you have additional questions for me as you consider your next step, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

I’ve never made a wiser investment than in this app, and in my time with Meg. She consistently provided me with the exact feedback, openness to explore my thoughts/emotions without judgement, educated on new skills to equip me to handle life, and provided access to resources to continue support outside of therapy and with my general “growth mindset” in mind. To say I “would recommend to a friend” is hardly enough, I have recommended to all my friends and family and if the app allowed the option to select a therapist, there’s no one I would recommend more highly. I’ve been to several other therapists in my lifetime and know the importance of the right therapist-client relationship, and this was it. Within a few weeks I felt better, a few months I was actively doing better, and in a year I became the best version of myself I couldn’t have even dreamed of being. Thank you BetterHelp, and thank you Meg, I don’t even want to waste my time and energy thinking of where or who I would be without you.

I have been with Meg for almost a year and I have no words to express the gratitude I have for her and how much help she has been in my life. She has become a friend too and I’m so thankful for the safe space she gives me and the guidance. After all the years of therapy I have been in, she is by far the best Therpist I have had to date.

I've been attending sessions with Meg for about 10 months now and I would say I didn't expect too much from Meg in the beginning. But after so many sessions with her, I realized that Meg is great and an expert at what she does. She is always positive and listens very carefully to understand your needs. She will take notes and understand your family history and your friend circle to better treat your issues in the best way possible. She's very empathetic as well. I cannot recommend her enough and will continue attending sessions with her as long as I can!
