Mrs. Elizabeth Bridges is wonderful to work with. She listens caringly and responds thoughtfully. She has been challenging me to set goals, envision my future the way I want it, and assigns me "homework" between sessions, which I personally like because it keeps me focused on solutions and my goals. I am grateful to be able to work with her. I feel like she partners with me in a solution-based way, which feels empowering.

Life comes with difficulties. It is my role to assist you in finding your direction and reaching your mental health goals when life challenges occur. We will work together to achieve the best possible results for you. Counseling with me will require your active involvement in efforts to change your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

I have experience in grief and loss counseling; anxiety/stress management and depression; relationship issues; personal and spiritual growth issues, and pre-marital counseling. My interest in pre-marital counseling is related to my belief that early counseling gives an opportunity to explore critical relationship issues prior to marriage, thereby increasing the likelihood that marriage will be lasting and satisfying. Personal growth is also an area of experience.

A new addition to my practice is life coaching. It is my belief that as one develops his potential, he is on the pathway to the realization of his God instilled life purpose. While I see the world through a Christian perspective, I sincerely respect individual expressions of personal beliefs. I make every effort to make individuals with whom I have the privilege to work feel capable and valued. If you are ready to move forward in your life, I am here to journey with you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

It has been only 3 sessions and already I’m feeling stronger and more focused in my endeavors. I believe that has a tremendous amount to do with the support and encouragement that I feel from Elizabeth. Her common sense & poignant questions really help me think through possibilities and solutions. Elizabeth gives a voice of reason in my semi-chaotic world, as well as she holds me accountable in living up to the plans & goals that I have set for myself. Elizabeth’s insights also gives me grace in being a bit center focused in my current need for self care & personal growth.
