I have been a counselor for over twenty years.
I have taught as an adjunct instructor at the Graduate, Under-graduate, and Post Graduate levels. I love my job!
I am honored and thankful that my clients share their lives with me for a season. I have no magic wands to “fix” lives. I do, however have a wide variety of “tools” that I will teach you how to use in order to begin, or continue, your individual journey of growth and healing. Change, healing and growth do happen! I am privileged to have a front row seat to watch it every day!
I will treat you with respect, NO judgment, and honesty. I fully realize that you are the experts of your own lives.
If you are interested in the clinical specifics,
I use a wide variety of trauma informed modalities. Some are CBT, Schema Therapy, IFS, EFT, DBT, Solution focus therapy.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Overall rating:
Deborah is a great therapist and very knowledgeable. She always finds ways to challenge thinking.
Always look forward to every session, very kind and personable.
Deborah is amazing .
She's very caring and helps validate my feelings and organize my thoughts and emotions. She helps me visualize how to have a healthier lifestyle.
Debbie has helped me understand what's within my control and how to set better boundaries for myself. She taught me that my health and well being are under my control and I don't need to sacrifice them in order to be there for others.
Deb is a wonderful listener. She is the best at validating my emotions when I don’t really understand them, and she has taught me so many tools that I can use in my everyday life to navigate my emotional experiences right as they happen. She is great at asking the questions that will help me find the root of what I’m experiencing, and gently walks me through the process of clearing out the weeds that might be obstructing my view of reality. Deb is knowledgeable (both educationally and with her own life experiences), she’s personable, and she’s easy to confide in. I appreciate her ability to be boldly honest when I need to hear difficult things, and I appreciate her ability to be soft when I need gentle support. I’ve been to many therapists in my lifetime, and Deb is the only therapist I’ve ever known whom I actually look forward to chatting with every week!
Debbie was perfect for what I was going through. She gave me straight forward common sense advice that was extremely helpful for me and my adult children.
Debby is the best therapist I’ve had! Both in BetterHelp and outside. She listens and recalls back to previous conversations. She gives feedback that benefits me, even when it’s hard to hear. But she never judges. I feel safe and heard.
Deborah has been amazing, my path crossed with her during a very hard moment in my life. She listened to me without judging, she was always very thoughtful, she taught me a lot of things, and gave me a lot of tools to move in life. Thank you so much, it was a pleasure to work with you
Deborah is knowledgeable, understanding, compassionate and relatable. I truely appreciate our sessions.
Deborah’s compassionate and caring. She’s able to provide practical tips to solve / deal with difficult problems. She creates a safe space for you to confide in her and is invested in your growth and healing.
Deborah is amazing. She has great words of wisdom. Love her.
You feel like you know her as soon as you meet her. She’s very kind
Deborah's kindness, compassion, humour and genuine nature was so helpful and appreciated through our time working together. She is a great communicator and was always available whenever I needed, and ensured that I felt heard and understood. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone on the road to healing and making sense of not only their own situation, but themselves as well.
Deborah is a great counsellor. I have had other experiences with therapists and counsellors and I have had my best experience with her. It could be that this is just the time when I was ready to make a change; but I can say that for anyone ready to make a change, Deborah is there to help. What I find the most useful, is that she is not afraid to see it like it is. Her questions prompt clear self-analysis, and I feel that she supports me on my journey without judgement. She has encouraged me to take responsibility for myself and respect others to take responsibility for themselves. In our short time of working together I have seen positive changes in my life. Family dynamics have shifted since I feel more able to stand up for myself. I am finding greater courage and self-confidence, meanwhile I am also finding it easier to have boundaries. I was in a terrible state when we started, and now my relationships are beginning to heal, my work is beginning to be enjoyable and sustaining, and I feel optimistic for the future. I have really been able to open up to Deborah, and she has handled that openness with great skill.
Debbie is a good listener, kind and nonjudgmental. I was hesitant to start therapy and follow through, but she has changed my mind about this completely. She is genuine and easy to talk to. I would recommend her to anyone who would like to start healing and make sense of things.
Deb's kindness, compassion and sense of humour has helped me find ways to navigate difficult situations over the past few months I've been working with her.

Deborah is amazing! She talked to me at the worst time of my life and helped me. She actually helped me. What she told me made sense. She listened to me. She's is amazing. I can't thank her enough.
Deborah has been great at giving me actionable guidance during this rough time (my Mom recently passed away) that's really helped me a lot. She's empathetic and supportive. So if you're going through grief at this time, please reach out to her.
My experience with Deborah is almost indescribable. I have only had a few sessions so far, but look forward to them each week! She is like my trusty flashlight, shining her brilliant light on my fears and anxiety making the dark corners of my mind and heart feel less scary. Giving me the confidence, tools and understanding to empower myself in a real way to make slow but steady positive changes in my life. She is honest and real and I never feel like I’m laying on the metaphorical therapist couch, rather having a deep heartfelt intelligent conversation with someone who cares. Thank you Debbie!
I have been enjoying my counselling so far. Deborah is very understanding and always has helpful suggestions for any problem I may have in my life. I am learning to reflect on my feelings and past experiences. I look forward to working on my mental health further.
