Hello... My name is Roseanne Jackson I have worked as a Clinical Social Worker in the State of New York for many years. The most important aspect of counseling is having a good therapeutic rapport. I have worked with many people experiencing trauma ( past or recent); anxiety/ depression; adjustment issues ; LGBT issues; aging issues; separation/ divorce and parenting; forgiveness; and self empowerment. I am fascinated by the human experience and love helping people break through those self imposed limitations. I love finding new mental health self care skills and sharing those with my clients.

I have a compassionate and non judgmental approach to therapy and use a client centered approach. I firmly believe that each of us knows what is best for ourselves and my job is to assist you in discovering that for your self. I utilize an eclectic blend of treatment modalities :Cognitive behavior therapy, aspects of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Practice and Psychoeducation . After we discover your goals we will tailor the treatment for your unique needs.

I have had unpleasant experiences with therapists in the past. I never felt comfortable opening up and felt judged. I have only had a few sessions with her, but Roseanne is extremely patient and kind. She takes the time to listen and asks the perfect questions to help me really understand my experiences. In the short time I’ve been seeing her, Roseanne has changed my perspective on therapy and I actually look forward to my sessions with her. She truly puts in the effort to make me feel safe and comfortable.
