I am a licensed clinical social worker with five years of experience working with youth and their families . I work with children and teens in my full time position and enjoy working with this population. I have experience with using cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy and person centered therapy. I tend to you use solution focused and person centered therapy most often. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns and challenges. Some being depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, autism spectrum disorder, behavioral concerns, homelessness, self-harm and parenting struggles.
My counseling style is inviting and a safe space for all. I tend to build trust and a relationship with clients to be able to support their needs. I am a great listener and treat each client with respect.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Shannon provides me with perspective and encouragement that has made significant positive impact on my life and by proxy the lives of those closest to me.
Amazing this shannon.
Shannon has a cunning ability to empathize with my qualms, genuinely. It's one thing to listen and understand, its another to take my seemly insignificant issues and truly empathize from the other's perspective. This may be a trait expected of a therapist, but in my opinion truly empathizing cannot be faked and is often rare.
