Sarah has been a huge help throughout my experience working with her. She is understanding, caring, and offers so many techniques, resources, and solutions/advice to help you. I’ve had a great experience working with her and would really recommend to anyone. She’s not just a great therapist but also a really kind person.

I’ve had three sessions with Sarah and I really enjoy her approach. She’s attentive and someone I can easily confide in to resolve my issues. I have done therapy in the past for my relationship issues but never 100% dove in to everything that has been going on. I decided to give myself the best chance at success by trusting Sarah and working with her and I’m glad I did.

Welcome to BetterHelp! I'm so glad you've taken the first step to wellness.

My name is Sarah Wall and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York. I have over 19 years of experience in counseling, clinical social work, psychotherapy, and school social work. I graduated from Syracuse University with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. I have worked with clients on a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, Autism Spectrum Disorder, substance abuse and gambling, grief and loss, foster care and adoption, and ADHD.

My counseling style is understanding, open-minded, and laid-back. I'm not here to judge you, I'm here to help you figure out what's best for you and your life. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, empathy, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, solution-focused brief, and rational-emotive therapy. I will tailor our sessions and treatment to meet your individual and specific needs.

You are welcome to message me anytime through Better Help. The accessibility of online counseling to work through emotions and problems is extremely convenient and beneficial for most people and a nice change from traditional in-office therapy. I check messages twice a day, Monday through Friday, and generally try to respond within 24 hours. My office hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 5:30pm to 8pm EST. , during which time I respond to messages and conduct therapy sessions. I only offer messaging and live chat sessions at this time.

I look forward to getting to know you and working with you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
