I have practiced in social work since 2007. I hold a clinical license as well as a doctorate--with an emphasis on child and family interventions. During this time I have had the opportunity to work with people from very diverse backgrounds and a vast array of life challenges. Within my time in practice, I have come to appreciate the importance of a good connection from client to therapist.

With this in mind, let me tell you a little about my therapeutic approach. Through my professional experience and within organizations, I have found my passion in interpersonal relationships; whether they be familial, work-oriented, or romantic. I am strength-based and solution-focused with my client's personal goals in mind. My objective is to support my clients with open, direct communication, and challenging thoughts. I was hesitant about starting therapy and trusting that I would find someone who I could trust. I was matched with a therapist from better help but found a distaste in my match so I got worried I signed up and would be right that no one could help me but I promised myself to give therapy a try. So I did a search for my therapist and found Dr. Hardin. Her profile seemed to carry a level of professionalism that I was seeking. Through her share on about me I could read her level of integrity, confidence in what she does, and discipline to the practice. Everything I value so I chose to start my therapy with Dr. Hardin, still with hesitation. Our first session was amazing. Through our first session I noticed I could trust her, feel understood, heard, and she carried the objective lenses that I needed. Someone who can see what I couldn't and she delivers it in an empowering way. I am lucky to have found her through this and believe she is a needle in a hay stack! We will be going on our third session and the experience has been supportive and everything that I need in my life at the moment!

I honestly started this counseling session thinking that I wanted to do it but last minute I thought I didn't really need it. But I decided to give it a try. I only had 1 session with Dr. Hardin, but wow! Definitely, it was beyond my expectations. I already feel like I have a connection with her & she guided the session in such a great way that it helped me realize that it's something that I needed and will greatly benefit me. Like she has stated in her profile, she has this solution-oriented session where we are trying to work on a certain aspect & try to improve. Right after having my 1st session, I had to share it with a friend and she is definitely going to be trying "Better Help." I enjoyed my session so much that I hope that my friend will be matched with a counselor as great as Dr. Hardin.

I've been working with Dr. Hardin for almost half a year and my progress has been very good. I always look forward to them even if I have to really confront my issues but she makes it okay. In terms of ADHD she gives strong very actionable advice which is refreshing compared to the majority of therapists and social workers out there. She is very regular with text and keeps up almost daily as well as weekly calls. In recent sessions I've been opening up a lot more than I had imagined.

I came to Dr Hardin with so much baggage and she helped me open every suitcase of baggage I had, not be afraid of the contents, and to then be able to deal with them and sort them accordingly and put them where they needed to go, Dr Hardin helped me unpack my baggage, but she couldn’t do it for me. She taught me that I did the work, she only guided and supported me through it. I have taken away tools, techniques, and a different mind set. She showed me that I have overcome many struggles, and showed me the true power I have of getting back up and facing my demons head on, and being proud of myself for being able to do that. I have learnt that no feelings are “bad” but all feelings, positive and negative need to be respected and given time and space to feel, rather than try to avoid, runaway or bury them. A big thank you to this amazing counsellor who made me feel comfortable and took the time to understand me and help get me into a better place again.
