Aisha has been really helpful as I work on my self confidence, interpersonal skills and emotional regulation. She has helped me really acknowledge growth I’ve achieved and identify what to work on next. She’s a great listener and I’ve learned a ton about myself and how to improve and grow from her, and I’m grateful for her expertise.

Welcome! My name is Aisha and I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Missouri. I am also certified in Cross Categorical Disabilities (K-12). In the past, I have worked in the school system, private practice, and in the pediatric hospital setting to support individuals and families. I have experience in working with a wide range of concerns and mental health issues, but a few examples are chronic illnesses, Women/Men Issues, relationships, anxiety/depression, school/career issues, and family dynamics.

I have serviced clients of various ages and backgrounds. I feel it is a gift to offer light in those times of darkness. Utilizing evidence-based practices, I strive to support, encourage, educate, and empower my clients. Compassion, patience, acceptance, and understanding are only a few of my qualities. I am easy to talk with and aim to create a safe and non-judging environment. My counseling approach ranges from cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, solutions focused, and reality. However, I focus on the client and tailor what is necessary to help you accomplish your goals in therapy.

Welcome to the first step in making a positive change in your life. I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
