Hi there! Welcome to the first step in making a change in your life! My name is Sarah Hall and I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Missouri. I have ten years of clinical experience working both in private practice and clinical agency settings. I have great experience working with children, teens, adults, and even families. I have worked with clients on a variety of issues, include anxiety, behavioral issues, grief, trauma, and mood disorders. I have worked with foster care youth, traumatized clients, non-verbal clients, and couples. I received my B.A. in psychology from the University of Missouri and my M.Ed. from Stephens College.

Personally, I am a mother, wife/partner, daughter, dog mom, and social worker full time. Better Help is my side hustle! I enjoy exercising and have a dog named Winston.

My therapeutic style is solution and present focused. I have experience using a variety of therapeutic approaches based on my client's preferences, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). My approach is to be warm, honest, and respectful with all of my clients, while respecting boundaries of my clients as well as multicultural differences.

I look forward to working with you and helping find joy in life!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Having worked with Sarah over a long period of just over 3 years, I’ve grown a lot from the experience of working with Sarah in therapy. I’ve found Sarah’s approach to Therapy incredibly rewarding. Even on some of the hardest sessions and shares, Sarah always has an infectious smile that always helps to cheer me up and remind me there is light at the end of the tunnel. Sarah’s approach I have always found to be welcoming. There’s nothing I feel I couldn’t share with her. From the beginning of this journey, to where I am now. Sarah has been a great asset and resource to my own recovery, working towards better mental wellbeing and vitally setting clear boundaries. Sarah has a wealth of self care tools to add to your support toolbox. Always able to pivot toward what I might need in that moment and suggest something relevant to what I’ve shared. I got incredibly fortunate being matched with a therapist who understands and gets my needs. And a therapist who can communicate harder subjects in a non confrontational manner. Sarah is awesome to work with.

It’s been a very rewarding experience and helped me get through some issues I’ve had in my life, low mood, feeling like I didn’t matter and silencing the chatterbox in my head. Always listens to what I have to say and responds in an enthusiastic way. Creates a very safe and caring environment.
