Hi, my name is Matt Daues and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the States of Missouri and California.

I help others with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and older adult issues. My counseling style is pretty laid back.

I take a holistic approach to helping individuals which means I take the whole person into consideration including emotional and physical health issues, and social-economic issues. I collaborate with individuals to help you make your own choices and develop your own goals to improved health. I use aspects of Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy and relaxation techniques. Mindfulness and meditation exercises can even be done in session. My job as a therapist is to listen to you, help you develop goals and assist you in finding solutions and feeling better.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Reviewed November 2021

Matt Daues has been one of the few therapists that seems to understand my troubling problems with OCD, anxiety, and over intellectualizing things. It has been a breath of fresh air.

Reviewed November 2021

Matt has been a great addition to my weekly routine. He helps keep my grounded, gives me the capacity to take a step back, helps me to see things more clearly, and helps me reframe my approach to many things more simply. He listens well, and offers great perspective. I came to therapy as an overall happy and motivated person trying to learn myself better, and am doing just that. Life can throw any of us curveballs, and it has thrown me some within the time we've been working together. As the curveballs come, Matt helps me find a way to embrace them and to keep a consistent level of peace. He helps me to be an active participant in my life and to find consistent fulfillment. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with him, and highly recommend him to anyone who works well with someone who listens well while taking an active and objective role in the conversation.

Matt is slowly helping me regain a sense of rationality that I thought I'd lost forever. His laid back temperament & positive attitude have reminded me what it's like to have someone care for my mental wellbeing, something I haven't felt in the longest. And at the same time, he's rationally helping me through my self destructive tendencies. I would recommend him to anyone who's intimidated by the thought of working through their mind, as he has helped me break through barriers that I hadn't known existed.
