Katie helped me through the most challenging year of my life. I cannot recommend her highly enough. I learned so many coping mechanisms and have more insight into my inner child than I ever had before. I couldn't ask for a better therapist.

Welcome and Kudos!

Sometimes something huge happens in our life and we realize that a little help could be useful to manage overwhelming thoughts or behaviors; other times, we notice small issues that keep us from being the person we want to be. You have decided that you want to make a change and taken the first step! What comes next? Choosing the people who will support and guide you. Because this is a commitment to your health and of your time and money, you will naturally select a professional with some experience, who will be respectful of your time and goals. Because healing and change aren't always comfortable in the moment, it is just as important to choose a professional with whom you feel comfortable. "Go with your gut". When making referrals to friends and family, I always suggest that they assess whether they feel disquiet because the situation itself is distressing to talk about, or is it because the office, staff or professional are just not the right fit? If it isn't a good fit, make a change. Who will be the right fit for you?

Each of us is unique. Our experiences, ideas and beliefs make us unlike any other. I meet individuals where they are, without preconceived ideas or judgement, to work toward goals determined by the client; using a variety of therapeutic techniques to improve quality of life and increase resilience. My goal is to support you in achieving your goals for today and to provide you with the tools to exceed your goals for the future. Under the umbrella of EMDR, I assist individuals with issues stemming from the stressors of daily life to life-long trauma.

I look forward to our first meeting, when you can decide if I will be the "right fit" for you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I’m thankful Katie came into my life. She helped me get through the hardest part of my life. If it weren’t for her, I’m not sure where I’d be. I’m just thankful.

Katie has really helped me. It's just amazing having been able to go through the things I've struggled with in the safety of my own home where I'm able to do my emdr. I honestly had no idea this type of counseling was this easily available, and I feel really lucky honestly. I'm grateful for her.
