I am a Licensed Clinical and Macro-Level Social Worker with a School Social Work certification. I have over 20 years of experience working as a school social worker and therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, with a special focus on educational disabilities, cognitive processing issues, trauma and loss, and ADHD. I am very interested in the mind-body connection and the importance of developing autonomy, self-esteem, and healthy coping skills in order to live a healthy lifestyle.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I consider the client/therapist relationship to be the most important thing in counseling. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines trauma-focused, solution-focused, and motivational interviewing counseling styles. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

I believe that everyone would benefit from engaging in the therapeutic process at one point or another in their life to support our navigation through the ever-changing and complex landscape of being a human in your own environment. I believe our interconnection to the people, systems, and communities that we interact with is similar to throwing a pebble into a pond, with tiny ripple effects all around us. We can't control the way other people act and feel but we do have the ability to identify and reflect upon what we have control over and develop concrete action plans to support better mental health.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Carrie has helped me tremendously. She developed strong foundational ideas and concrete steps with me to get me from where I was to where I wanted to be. She manages to be empathetic, personal, and professional in the same beat, and this forms a comfortable and safe atmosphere in which to express myself. Highly recommend.

I am 56 years old and have seen many therapists over my life. Carri is the best and most effective by far. She listens and goes out of her way to provide me with relevant resources for problem-solving to improve my quality of life. She also recognized behaviors that led me to a diagnosis that has been missed for years. I am now on the correct medication and feeling better than I have in 20 years. She has my highest recommendation!
