Kerre was great. She just couldn’t offer what I need, which is in-person talk therapy. If I wasn’t my able to find a therapist here in Santa Rosa, I was going to ask her to be my primary. She is professional, attentive, and a lovely human to speak with. Thank you for all that you do.

Hi! My name is Kerre Nitz. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a national license by the state of Michigan. I am currently located in Saginaw, Michigan. I have about 5 years of experience working in the helping profession in an inpatient setting, being a school counselor, working as a hospital crisis therapist and an outpatient individual therapist. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling along with a Certificate in Trauma Studies from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I also hold a Master’s of Divinity degree from Regent University in church and ministry. I have worked with a wide variety of populations including school age children, teens/adolescents, adults and older adults with a wide range of concerns and presenting issues. I currently specialize in depression, self-esteem and body image, grief & loss, anxiety, psychosis, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, anger management, stress management, adjustment disorders and crisis counseling. The foundation of my treatment approach is building a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients through unconditional positive regard, trust and creating a safe space for my clients. I utilize the therapeutic approach models of client centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, reality therapy, mindfulness, narrative therapy, gestalt therapy, motivational interviewing and attachment theory . My focus will be calling out your strengths, abilities and skills to help you achieve greatness, success and become the “best” version of yourself. My goal is for you to overcome any obstacle, hurtle or barrier that may be standing in your way of walking in the fullness of your calling. When we discover our purpose and can walk confidently through life the impossible can become possible. I am excited to start this journey of healing, wholeness and discovery as we walk together on this therapy path.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Even though I I'm so bad about keeping up with the schedule, she has helped me more than I could ever possibly express
Kerre Nitz and I have only had two sessions and I can already tell she is a kind, genuine person. She has been very helpful with sending me resources I can use. She told me she was praying for me and I appreciate that so much.
