Hi, my name is Cindy. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Michigan. I love coming alongside my clients in the face of challenges, helping them to feel less alone, and empowering them to become better versions of themselves. Through therapy, we can work through past traumas, assess patterns of thinking and how they affect emotions, and build relationship skills that strengthen self-confidence.

We all have patterns of thinking and behaviors that can hold us back. Therapy is a way to understand and make changes in these thinking patterns and the first step towards a better tomorrow.

I work with adults, and seniors with a variety of mental health issues. These include issues with: Anxiety, Coping Skills, Depression, Emotional disturbance, Grief, Obsessive-compulsive (OCD), Relationship issues, Self-esteem, Trauma and PTSD, Women's issues.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I met with Cindy twice a week for a month and I had a great experience. I felt safe in all of our conversations: safe to take control and guide our meetings and safe to let go and let her guide me. She let me show up in the ways that I was comfortable with and was really open to the topics that I brought to the table. Thinking about how I was feeling before we met, I'm so proud of how far I've come in this short time! After working together, I feel much more optimistic about my future, much more confident about myself and, most importantly, I finally feel capable of just enjoying my life!

I'm thankful for Cindy

I’m so glad I tried Better Help and was matched with Cindy. I’ve worked with other counselors in the past, but Cindy helped me work through a lot more than I even thought I could tackle in such a short amount of time. She helped me work through past trauma that was crippling to me in ways and I have a new sense of confidence and power over it. I will forever be grateful to Cindy. I went from being so anxious I didn’t want to leave my house to conquering fears with the tools Cindy gave me. Having the ability to get out all of my thoughts through messaging and then doing a video session once a week was much more effective and efficient for me than the traditional therapy structure of only a one hour session per week. Thank you again Cindy ❤️

I want to thank Cindy Mcgraw for all of her support over the last several weeks. She has helped me move from a very low and dark place to a new time where I'm feeling much better about myself. I'm getting out more, doing things with friends. I feel that I've "turned a corner" in my mental health. Thanks, Cindy!

Cindy was amazing, and I am so glad we were matched on BetterHelp. She really took the time to get to know me and understand the issues I was facing. She gave me a great mix of actionable items that I was able to immediately implement and long-term strategies to manage my emotions. I was nervous about starting therapy, but Cindy made me feel totally comfortable. I always felt like a weight was taken off my shoulders after each session. I can’t recommend her enough.
