I have been working with Nancy for a number of months now. When I first came to Nancy, I did not know where to begin with our conversations. Over time we were able to see that much of what I was struggling with could be attributed to my childhood. Nancy helped me realize new tools to cope with different issues and was always super helpful to include some background studies and information as to why the tools and methods could help me. Through our time we created a narrative that we were able to walk though at the end of our time together to see just how much growth was achieved. I can’t thank Nancy enough for all of her help.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I was in one of the worst places I’d ever been in my life when I started talking to Nancy. From job stress to a pregnancy loss, I didn’t know where to start. Nancy was without a doubt my saving grace. Together we worked through each piece of the puzzle and she helped me make connections I had overlooked, and allowed me to heal. Most importantly, she taught me how to be gentle on myself—a concept I never understood, or thought I even deserved. I am the happiest I have ever been and I’m so grateful that I had Nancy there to help get me to where I wanted to be. She is compassionate, funny, and determined, and truly an amazing person to have on your side.

I’ve only had a couple sessions with Nancy but I do feel great about how things are going so far. I know sometimes you have to talk to a few people before you feel a connection to someone but I immediately felt comfortable with her. It could be as simple as her kind face or just the tone I which she speaks but I do appreciate how she listens to me and offers subtle suggestions and or questions that help me reflect when our session is over. I just find it comforting to know that she is there in turbulent time in my life to offer help when I most need it.

Nancy is very kind and has been helping me identify and break out of obsessive and anxious thought patterns. I highly recommend her.

When I started working with Nancy I was experiencing intense generalized anxiety that was causing all sorts of debilitating physical symptoms like lack of sleep and zero appetite. I had no idea what to expect in terms of the quality of counseling provided by Better Help but Nancy exceeded all of my expectations and more. In the span of just a few sessions I already felt like a huge weight was lifted off of my shoulders and after 6 months of working with her I’m truly thriving and feel like I have a new tool bag of tools to help me cope with my anxiety. Nancy is incredibly easy to talk to, asks great, poignant questions, and really helps you get to the root cause of what is causing your issues. Her approach is kind and warm and she offers both feedback and some scientific reasoning to help make sense of why we feel and experience things the way we do. Nancy helped me get back to feeling like myself and was a joy to work with. I truly enjoyed our sessions and highly recommend her!

In short: Nancy is wonderful. I realized too late that my work benefit only allowed for 6 sessions, but in that short period I was able to almost completely work through my current marriage difficulties. Nancy helped me see and understand how I communicate with others, while also uncovering some deep-seated tendencies of mine resulting from past trauma. I wish I could have continued therapy with her, but even so, I feel she's given me a solid foundation for future conflicts. Specifically, we talked about relationship/parenting issues, trauma, grief, and touched upon career difficulties. I'm sure she's helpful with any number of topics, but I'd highly recommend speaking to her if these are issues you'd like to address.
