I’ve been seeing therapists since I was a child and Jennifer is one of the best I’ve ever had. She is incredibly validating, insightful and honest. She knows the right questions to ask and when to do it. I can say I want to tackle specific topics or we can see where the session takes us but I’ve always finished feeling like I’ve accomplished something. She is quick to respond to messages outside of our weekly session and the quality of her responses never dwindles due to it being through the message portal rather than our live sessions. I couldn’t recommend her enough!

More about Jennifer

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I received my Masters Degree from Columbia University in New York, NY. I worked in psychiatric Emergency Rooms and on inpatient psychiatric units. I have been providing outpatient therapy for the past nine years.

I have extensive experience working with couples as well as individuals. I feel like communication is the key to success. Changing communication styles can radically change relationships. I have worked with an array of disorders which include, but not limited to anxiety, PTSD, depression, relationship issues, gender issues, parenting and co-parenting. I tend to use an eclectic approach to therapy, as it is in my belief that no two clients should be looked at the same. I integrate CBT, DBT and the psychodynamic approach.

And lastly, over the past nine years, I have been working with couples and families. I find it fascinating that individuals can have gone through the same event and will interpret the event differently. It has been in my experience that when an outside, unbiased sounding board is introduced, real change can happen.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
