Hi, welcome to my page!

I am so happy that you are ready to begin your journey through BetterHelp. I genuinely believe that anybody can willingly find benefits from the therapeutic process- mind, body, and soul. I utilize a personal-centered treatment approach for clients to feel a sense of respect, autonomy, and trust. In addition, I utilize motivational interviewing, mindfulness, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and solution-focused approaches to assist you in reaching your goals toward a meaningful life.

I received a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Since that time, I have gained a License in Clinical Professional Counseling in the State of Maryland and a certification in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (C-DBT). I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across a diverse population and I strive to maintain awareness of cultural considerations within our therapeutic relationship. Furthermore, I have experience working with individuals struggling with a variety of issues, some of which include: trauma-related issues, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, stress, ADHD and behavioral issues, development of interpersonal skills/ communication and boundaries, emotion regulation, and tolerance of distress.

Every individual deserves to have a life worth living and I am hopeful that through working together in a place of willingness, we can achieve your mental health goals.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

I look forward to meeting you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
