Hello! My name is Atiya Moore and I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C), in the state of Maryland. Over the last 20 years I have work in a variety of Behavioral Health settings. I have worked collaboratively with a variety of clients experiencing challenges including, but not limited to, mental health, substance use, trauma recovery, sexual health recovery and criminality. I specialize in working with WOC who have experienced chronic historical, multi-generational, community and/or interpersonal trauma. I support women combat the Victim Mentality, Self-Doubt and Self Sabotage, that contribute to blockages and stagnation in the change process. My methods include Acceptance and commitment therapy, Mindfulness and Meditation Practices, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical behavior therapy, to name a few. I am also not afraid to think outside of the box to explore non-traditional approached including Energy Management and therapeutic gardening.

Atiya Moore is extordinarily well versed and constantly expanding; this has been evident throughout my time with her. She can easily assess a person's strengths and encourages the use of them to get through alot of the issues I've may be carrying around in life. You never feel like you're being judged or talked at, she manages to somehow walk alongside you as you're guided to epiphanies and breakthroughs. She's a delight to talk to and i waists look forward to our sessions. Her encouragement and support has been everything to me. She's an amazing therapist and i count myself extremely fortunate to be able to deal with my traumas with such a skilled professional.
