I've only had two sessions but both have been helpful and I've felt heard. Even as I've been questioning my feelings she has validated them and offered suggestions of ways to help calm the anxiety and guilt I've been feeling.

Hello!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Maryland. I received my Bachelors of Social Work from Morgan State University and my Masters of Social Work from University of Maryland School of Social Work with a concentration of Clinical/Administration Practice. I am a very experienced therapist with over 30 years of providing dedicated, individualized and competent services to children, adolescents, young adults and older individuals.

My experience included working with clients who may be experiencing concerns with trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, family issues, anger management, self-esteem and other issues that impact healthy functioning.

My approach to psychotherapy is an individualized plan, created with the client's input and personal goals. I use a variety of treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy as well as Expressive Therapies, such as art, music and movement.

I believe in treating every client with dignity and respect. Every client is viewed as an individual. I am honest, open-minded, caring and will be committed to helping you achieve your goals in the process. I view our work together as a team effort, with you always being in control of your care and treatment.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
