I have appreciated Carrie's help so much! I love that she has flexible hours and is available to meet via several different channels- chat, call, or video. She is lighthearted and fun, but honest and helped me grow through our times together. I loved the homework she gave me to work on after our session! Highly recommend her as a counselor. :)

My name is Carrie S. Davidson. I earned a Masters of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling from Southern University, A& M University in 2005. I am licensed as a LPC, #6503, In addition to being licensed as a LPC in Louisiana, I hold a National Certification as a National Certified Counselor (NCC#888026). I see counseling as a process in which you the client, and I, the Counselor having come to understand and trust one another, work as a team to explore and define present problem stations, develop future goals for an improved life and work in a systematic fashion toward realizing those goals.

I approach counseling with an eclectic approach. I use various approaches such as a cognitive-behavioral, existential, integrative, mindfulness-based (MBCT), motivational interviewing, person-centered, psychodynamic, reality therapy, and strength-based (including Christian principles) perspectives in that patterns of thought and actions are explored in order to better understand the clients’ problems and to develop solutions.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

I think she is a great counselor. She is very intuitive and honest. A lot of the time therapists sugar coat or make you go through break throughs all on your own where you feel like you’re talking to a wall instead of a person. She actually helps you get there.
