More about Stacey

Hello! My name is Stacey and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with over eight years of experience providing therapy services. Prior to that, I have worked with individuals and families as a behavioral health intervention specialist and a domestic abuse advocate.

I primarily work with clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting challenges and/or struggling with managing emotions, stress, and anger.

I received my undergraduate and masters degree in Social Work at the University of South Dakota. My approach to therapy is warm, interactive, and client centered. I consider the client/therapist relationship to be one of the most important things in counseling. I believe clients are the experts on their lives and I am here to support and empower you. I aim to assist clients in learning the strategies and coping skills best tailored to their individual situation. I draw my approach from a combination of styles; trauma-focused, solution focused and cognitive behavioral therapy.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
