My budding relationship with Lyn, my new therapits, is going better than I had anticipated. I'm really starting to feel connected and not so alone. I'm very glad I started.

I feel very comfortable speaking to Lyn. She listens, understands not just what I am saying, but how I am feeling and she is able to respond in a helpful manner. I also like that she is able to send me "homework" to complete between sessions; this is a big help to me and my own accountability in doing my part of getting myself the help I need. It is comforting to know that Lyn has dealt with similar situations in her life, and that she truly understands where I am at in my life right now. I look forward to continuing my therapy with Lyn for as long as I can afford it.

Hello, my name is Lyn Cassin. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, (LCSW) in Indiana. I have worked in the mental health field since 2006 when I graduated with my BSW from Youngstown (Ohio) State University. I became a therapist once I obtained my MSW in 2012. The reason I became a therapist was to be able to help others who are struggling with the challenges of daily living. I've worked with adults who experience depression, anxiety, panic attacks, loss, abuse, addiction issues, and trauma survivors. My therapy approaches combine Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic, Trauma-informed, Dialectical Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, and other Strength-based therapies. We all need help at some time in our lives. I hope to have the chance to help you with whatever you are struggling with by providing a safe, non-judgemental place for you to talk, and be heard.

I really wasn’t sure this online counseling thing was going to work but I’m pleasantly surprised! Lyn is really helping me with my problems. I’ve been to several therapists over the years, long ago, and I feel more comfortable with her than I did with any of them. I’ll continue to see Lyn as long as it’s cost effective for me:-)

Lyn has helped me so much over the last few months that I feel confident enough to end therapy. Being able to do that in and of itself speaks volumes. Being able to end therapy right before the holidays which has admittedly been a rough time for me speaks even higher of how much Lyn has helped me. It’s hard to say goodbye, but she has given me so much that I feel ready. I can not thank her enough.

My counselor Lyn has been very supportive as I have accepted and processed many different kinds of abuse that have occurred over the course of my life for the first time - religious, sexual, and emotional abuse. Her kindness and ability to meet me where I’m at has kept me coming back. I’m so thankful I finally started therapy and that Lyn has been there for me.
